Jonathan Martin loses his mind! Post threats to his high school & Incognito

Nice to see what taking a proactive approach on threats like this looks like

Some, but not really on anything of significance. It was the same basic approach, which was to take snippets of facts and, tie them in with falsehoods and irrelevancies, and weave them into a pattern that clearly wasn't supported but forwarded an agenda.

"Some guys texted about 'deflator', so Brady must be guilty of orchestrating a conspiracy!"

"Incognito is a crappy human being who says and does things we don't like, even though it's not unusual locker room behavior, so..."

Cool, this continues to be a story with no winners (only losers) and nobody coming out of it looking good (only assholes). Incognito and Pouncey are scumbags. Martin is, at the very least, an unstable *******. They all suck.

We might all need to apologize to Richie Incognito, this guy is mental!! Post pictures of a shotgun with Incognito's name and the name of the high school he attended on instagram!

Of course, they (rightly) closed the school and apparently he has just be taken into custody.

Feel free to apologize to Richie Incognito. Don't suggest I need to. How you got from point A to point B and concluded that Incognito was unfairly accused is beyond me.

Why would anyone need to apologize to Richie Incognito? The guy is a piece of garbage, regardless of how messed up Jonathan Martin is.

Martin just shows a lot of traits of being socially stunted. Most of the issues with Incognito were Richie being a punk and Martin letting it get to him worse than it should.

I think this kind of reinforces something we all also already knew, a bully seldom chooses the strongest link.

Pretty much. That it turned into a huge investigation for the NFL is an outright embarrassment.

This. Likely you have someone who is a bit of an outcast with a weak personality and then a guy like Incognito knows that he's the person he can get away with pushing the furthest, while someone else in the lockerroom would have guys take up his cause or just fight him back himself.

Martin took it, till he couldn't, and then overreacted because he hit his point. This is how people like this our created.

The answer to your question is glaringly obvious, but it would require introspection and self-evaluation on the part of those who went after him with the figurative pitchforks, and that's obviously not going to happen. And, that being the case, there's really nothing more of note, other than to observe that Martin seems to still have issues despite his having sought help.

So, best of luck to Martin, and I hope they are able to do a better job of helping him moving forward, and it's time to put the thread on ignore.

That was pre deflategate or before we knew the antics Ted Wells et al would go through to make sure Goodell's will was imposed. I wonder how many or how much of those poster's initial bullygate views have changed since then.

At this point? I'm inclined to side with anyone the NFL investigates, so yeah I was probably wrong about Incognito.
