The order won't be determined until April. What's everyone's thoughts on that schedule? Obviously free agency & drafts will change things.

From that schedule I'm gonna say we'll go 12-3.

I don't like to be too pessimistic, but I'd say 11-5 with a wild card victory and loss in the divisional round.

With the two coordinators leaving and likely shakeups across some of the roster, this will be a mini-rebuilding year. If Brady plays 2-3 more seasons, I could see this season being the year where we coach up some young talent and figure out how to plug in a few new cheap veteran faces into our scheme.

I don't honestly see winning the AFC championship unless we hit the ground running with our new coordinators. That will be tough when Belichick is going to hover over their shoulders rather than let them do their thing. That potential power struggle will likely mean some losses and frustration before the following season when everyone figures each other out.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how'd I'd look at this upcoming year: transition.

I'm thinking 13-3 next year.

If we don't lose the 3 games above that pick as our losses, my other 3 potential losses are Pittsburgh and maybe Houston if we get them later in the season with Watson coming back from his ACL.

Or switch Buffalo on the road with Miami as our one lone in division lost. I think Minnesota will go backwards from this year's team success. Jacksonville and Pittsburgh also could take steps back, but also will have revenge on their minds going up against the Pats.

I think we lose just 1 home game next and 2 on the road.

A fairly tough road schedule though with 4 playoff teams (BUF/JAX/TEN/PIT) this year and 2 more teams (DET/MIA) that were in playoffs in 2016 and could be playoff teams in 2018.

The Green Bay game should be a classic. I went to the last Brady vs. Rodgers matchup at Lambeau Field. Randall Cobb killed us lining up and coming out of the backfield as the receiver moving the chains.

Intriguing that Belichick will coach against two disciples on the road next year in Patricia at Detroit and Vrabel at Tennessee. Similar situation to the Denver game on the road that we lost years ago with McDaniels at the helm for the Broncos.

Thankfully playing Aaron Rodgers at home as well as DeShaun Watson to help our defense playing against mobile QB's who can sling it.

QB situations for NJY, DEN, BUF could make those games more challenging if one of those teams landed the likes of Cousins or Foles. Chicago game appears to be the easiest one on the schedule currently.

Why the FCK are we playing Denver? We just played the AFCW this year, and Denver didn't finish in the first place in the AFCW.

Is Denver a typo?

Yep, we play the Chiefs at home.

Anyway, it is going to be tough to get 12+ wins. Three strong visitors (Green Bay, Minnesota, Kansas City), nasty road game at Jacksonville, not going to be easy in Tennessee either, Pittsburgh... a lot is going to depend on whether we can improve/retool our defense, have to preserve Brady as much as possible.

Uh...The Pats will play 16 games not 15, they'll have 8 home games not 7 and Denver will not be one of them.
Home: Buf, NYJ, Mia, KC, GB, Min, Hou, Indy
Away: Buf, NYJ, Mia, Det, Chi, Jax, Ten, Pit.
Depending on how they come out of the gate and how front loaded with heavy hitters the schedule is it looks like anywhere from 12-4 to 14-2. Subject to change without notice and injury dependent.

Coaching changes may also affect things, even more than player-personnel changes. Sarkesian taking over as OC obviously affected things in ATL significantly.

Loss

One and done in the playoffs.

I know I am very pessimistic right now, but I think this thing is a mess right right now. I am less concerned with the offense, as Tommy's essentially an on the field coach at this point. I think Buffalo will be much better, they always seem to bump their heads in Miami.

I may feel better about this thing after free agency and the draft. And I may feel better after the final episode of Tom v Time, too. Obviously, we get Edelman and High back, so that's huge. But there's a lot of concerns from where I sit. I see Danny going to Indy, who knows what is up with Gronk. Belichick has to rally the troops, and iron out his new staff.

I reserve the right to adjust.

Who steps up when the game is on the line, like Bruschi, Harrison, McGinest, and High?

I reserve the right to adjust.

EDIT: adjusted for the KC game instead of Denver.

They are not playing Denver. They are playing Kansas City.
