Who slept well last night?

Barely slept at all. The Giants loss in 2007 was traumatizing and I probably did not sleep correctly for at least a week or so. This one was infuriating for different reasons. So said watching the GOAT shred all night and the inept and pathetic defense do absolutely nothing. Now we have the whole Butler fiasco. I really do hope that the reports are confirmed of him missing curfew. There has to be some justified reason for doing this. There has to.

I slept through. Just came back from a conference so was super tired. This loss didn’t bother me that much. The dysfunction in the team bothered me more. I’m on to 2018. I’m also happy hat my weekends are available so that I can fully focus on my kids.

Went to bed at 11pm. Couldn't fall asleep. Watched some Sopranos (this is rewatch #6 for me) and watched some Simpsons. Put on a sleep mask and ear plugs, did breathing exercises.

Just couldn't stop feeling shocked and sad for Tom.

A friend of mine used to say “I slept like a baby.....woke up crying every hour”

That's what we say at our house except we say crying and peeing. And that's pretty much how I slept.o_O

Well, we had to euthanize our 17 year old dog before the game yesterday so I didn’t sleep well. The game was not a great experience but to top it off I had to sleep in a bed without a dog in it for the first time in 17 years. It was weird.

Oh shoot! Sorry to read that; 17 years is the typical full life for most breeds, no?

I lost a couple of mine when they were 10 and 7 respectively. They were like family, and hence the losses hurt so badly.

Wish yesterday's game ended better for both you and us. :(

I’m sorry you lost your dogs so young! 17 years is pretty old for a dog, though ours was a small dog and they tend to be longer-lived. It doesn’t make it any easier though. And then to have to watch that painful game. Just not a good day.

Game had a weird feel to it from git go. As it went on I thought Brady can move Offense at will but Def couldn't stop a nose bleed and was hoping that it would adjust and it was like being in quick sand. Of course I'm bummed it was there for taking against No.1 Def team and shredded for 505 yds passing and 33 pts was for not.

So much for nfl* hookin us up with calls and I'm not using Refs as an excuse for this loss and credit Eagles for not changing how they played all year BUT
that flea flicker to foles's TD, was it illegal formation on Oline, Ertz's TD dive that was negated in Pitt game not applied here or Clement's TD bobble/switch hands whatever close to being on end line and lastly Hail Mary Heave at end, did anyone see Hogan gettin lit up running to EZ with no flag?
Again, Far Be It for me to use excuses but are all these calls/non calls relevant?

So, sorry to hear this. We had to put our 17-year-old "puppy" a couple days before the Titans game.

The house feels really empty, still.

I’m sorry to read this. My house feels so weird...I could swear I heard paws padding around today but that could have been the sleep deprivation.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but you may need to see a psychiatrist.

Did not sleep well. Tried to think about anything but the game, but couldn’t do it. I’ll be fine, just need to adjust. You’d think I’d be conditioned to it after all the big games I’ve seen my favorite teams in, but it’s always the same. Highs and lows and you move on from it.

It took us more than a week before we stopped "hearing" the clatter of Bailey's nails on the kitchen floor.

Even in my dreams the pats defense couldn't stop a nosebleed. Didn't sleep at all. This will bother me until the draft comes around. Need some overhaul on defense. Get some players!

I went to bed about an hour after the game, woke up around 3am and started thinking about the game so it was awhile before I fell back asleep. Today's been pretty good all things considered. I even played a bit of Madden as I didn't think I'd play the game again for a bit. Treated myself and upgraded my 91 overall Brady and got the 95 overall Brady card from the recent playoff promo.

Today has been a reflective time for me, the other 31 fan bases would love to have the success this team has year in and out.

I slept just fine. I hated the outcome, but overall, well, it is what it is.

Refs - no real complaints. The one TD (Clements?) where it appears he did not really have control sticks out, but the rest of the calls / decisions were ok.

Players - 1/2 of them (both teams) did well. 1100 yards of total offense tells us that. Neither D did much to applaud. Special teams - ok, but not what we've come to expect.

Coaching - It is hubris to the extreme for me (or damn near anyone) to criticize this coaching staff. That said - Malcolm not in the Middle confused the hell out of me. #92 was on the field a lot more than I ever expected - thought he would be held back a bit for the big 4th quarter push.

Accept the fact that the Eagles can play, Nick Foles is a BINO, and the Pat's D did a lot with very little and it finally caught up to them.

Thank You to the entire Patriots organization - 13-3, a trip to the big game, and in it until the clock read zero. Now, you're several weeks behind and need to fill some big holes - get to it.

On to 2018.

I didn't sleep until 2 am. All the Packer fans were blowing their loads over this loss. The were talking more crap than the Eagles fans.

God I hate Packer fans so much

Remember how they didn't even make the playoffs this year and have fewer SB wins than us? :)

I'll be honest.

I fell asleep OK at around midnight, thinking that I was going to shrug this off.

But I woke up at around 2:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep for almost two hours.

I kept seeing the damn Foles reception and the Brady strip sack over and over in my brain...then got really mad at Belichick for yanking Butler...thought about the obnoxious Philly fans who were either passed out or nearly passed out...realized that this was the first time since 2011 that I had to deal with their losing an SB...and became miserable, especially when I realized that I had to get up at 6:00 for work and couldn't take anything to knock me out (yet another argument for making the Monday after the SB a National Holiday).

So, no, I didn't sleep well last night...thank you very much for asking...

May the OP be reincarnated as a Jets fan for reminding me.

I'm used to disappointments.
