Shouldn't that have been a flag? I remember we picked up a number of penalties last year on that play. Was it within one yard of the line of scrimage?

Well, it was 4th and 2-3 and McCourty was blocked right at the 1st-down marker, so my math says...yeah.

Worst part of this loss is I live in Philly. Can we start a support group for philly pats fans?

Brady deserved a better fate. Possibly the best QB performance in Super Bowl history. Maybe Felger, Mazz and some of the other experts in the media may want to reconsider whether the Patriots run is more due to Belichick than Brady.

Very disappointed in the defense today. Aside from Gilmore, very few looked interested in this game.

The offense's early struggles hurt us badly and those 4 lost points on special teams cost us dearly.

Also was interested to learn Geno Steratore is from Pennsylvania.o_O;)

This was an example of what happens when Tom Brady cannot overcome Belichick’s poor decision making. Unless Butler went Aaron Hernandez there was absolutely no reason to bench him this entire game. It was stupid and arrogant of Belichick.

Doesn't feel nearly as bad as the Giants did. It's whatever. Brady still the GOAT.

Note to delusional homers tho: stop taking other teams for granted. Stop thinking we're unstoppable juggernauts. We're not.

Hell of a game, that. Thanks for all the great commenting and posting around here this past season. Personally, I'm gonna take sometime off and take care of family issues and work out my frustrations at the YMCA pool. Be back in a couple weeks or so.

Looking forward to the draft, and seeing who the next man up in the coaching staff is gonna be.

You know what, I'm not mad. The coaches shat the bed, players missed simple plays, Brady was magnificent (again) but Philly were that little bit better. That's all it takes to win a Super Bowl. Sure, some questionable TD reviews went their way but so what? The Eagles executed and made the one damn play they needed to make to win a championship. No Hightower stood out like a sore thumb today.

Kudos Philly, you were the better team. You deserve this win.

Philly defense getting that turnover was game over. We had the ball in Toms wheelhouse and we couldn't protect him. Coulda been another one for the books. Oh well. Draft some defense and get back to winning next year.

Bad defense. Offense should have showed up in the first half like they did in the second and the outcome would have been different.

On any given day ! Good season

Defence every pick this draft.

Great effort by brady and the offense, especially without cooks in there. Just too much too overcome. Benching butler will be one of the biggest mistakes of bb’s career, we were clearly outmatched defensively without him in there.
Great effort by the O in the second half anyway.
Gameplan was horrendous in the first half .

Btw , where was the hurry up that everyone thought would work against this team ?

Patric
I still love this team. We definitely need talent at DL/LB though. Gonna be tough one to get over. Brady & the offense were superb in the 2nd half. D just couldn’t get off the field. Hopefully next year.

Legit pass rusher, Hightower back, and so LB depth. They will be fine.
