It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I actually believe they said they used Undrafted rookie TE Billy Brown to try to simulate Gronk during/after practice.Interesting piece on a minute ago, the Philly Defense had Ertz work directly with them during and after practice and wanted him to be very physical with the defense so they could practice against someone like Gronk.
I know Ertz is really good but is he as physical as Gronk or Kelce?
I’m fine with allowing 3rd down conversations if it prevents the big play and isn’t in scoring area.got to get off the field on 3rd down..limiting Brady's possessions is the key for the eagles.
Jax was within 1 delay of game penalty of being up 17-3 at the half by sustaining long drives and keeping Brady off the field.
And the Eagles CBs, like probably every other postition group of a Jim Schwartz defense, are very aggressive, to a fault. They have been burned by WR double-moves all season long. If they continue to take the cheese, and play 7-8 yards off the LOS, then Brady should be able to both move the chains and gain big yards...if he is given the time.Willie just said on nfln that if you don’t get in the receivers face and jam them brady will pick you apart and the eagles corners usually play 7-8 yards off.
This is a double edge sword too because if they try to jam and play man it’s not what they do and brady will probably shred that even worse.
I think this is exactly the type of defense that Brady typically torches. It’s a good one, but it’s style and it’s strengths and weaknesses are not normally a good way to defend brady. And the Eagles CBs, like probably every other postition group of a Jim Schwartz defense, are very aggressive, to a fault. Protecting Brady, as always, will be Job #1.
