OT: Mike Vrabel named Titans coach

McDaniels turned down one of his good friends with a Patriots connection in Tennessee on a playoff team to accept a job of a team who went 4-12 with a QB who missed the entire season and still isn't fully healthy and have Jim Irsay as his boss.

Josh clearly doesn't like Mariota as a quarterback.

There's no other explanation, he basically told you he'd rather take a chance Luck was healthy than to coach Marcus Mariota.

Bad optics for the Titans.

Congrats to him! What a great Patriot he was.

Yep. That sack on Warner that led to the pick six, and SB 38 TD are my best memories of him.

Titans will be a formidable opponent for years to come.

Luck is a lot more proven. If he’s good to go, it’s a no brainer.

Good luck to him.

Good luck to Romeo back in his old DC slot for the Texans.

Best thing about Vrabel is Steelers fans getting pissed about losing him to the Pats.

So Belichick made a mistake by "coincidentally" trading him to Pioli's team two years early just like McGinest had many years left when he went to Crennel's Browns.

If anything, Vrabel might have retired earlier if he wasn't on Pioli's team. I wish him well and think he'll be a good coach.

I don't know how you know I'm a tough guy. You must have seen me working out with James Harrison.

AFC South should be renamed the AFC Belichick Tree Division

Texans- O'Brien

Colts- McDaniels

Titans- Vrabel

Ohhhh so you're one of those fans. "______ player is gone because he wasn't good anymore". Carry on.

don't forget that the colts of brissett, someone josh knows inside and out, so even if luck can't go, he might see better upside with him.

If McDaniels goes to the Colts, well have fun with that crackhead Josh! You won't last long with that dipshit ****ing everything up for you.

Vrabel was known as a smart team player, but the Texas had the WORST defense in the entire league this year. He's been a coordinator one year and was worst in the league at it.

He's woefully under qualified compared to Patricia or McDaniels who are multi SB winners as coordinators

.

Who thinks they panicked and hired Vrabel because they expected McDaniels to take the job and he took Indianapolis instead.
I think the "cool" thing to do these days is hire someone from the Patriots umbrella.
They were running out of options so to speak.

Other, and much more likely, explanation:

McDaniels took the job with the better QB and a mentor/helper QB who can help with teaching the system, the better draft picks, more than $80m in cap space and an owner who's too busy snorting blow off hookers' asses to interfere with football operations.

In other words, as long as Luck is healthy, which is something he certainly would have looked into, McDaniels took the better job.
