I'm just glad the weather won't be too cold, that will help with pain. And if he shoots up before for the game it's all the more important to get an early lead so by the 2nd half when it wears off hopefully he's just handing the ball off...and then letting Hoyer play the last 5 minutes or so.

He said the thumb was bent way back. He didn't say the thumb was substantively injured.

It's a cut in a place that ****ing hurts, deep enough to require stitches. Everything the Patriots have done this week are completely consistent with that.

If x-rays were negative, then it still could end up being pretty close. Regardless, Brady not taking snaps under center or being in a lot of pain from whatever the injury are still concerns, yes.

Two tidbits from #Patriots QB Tom Brady’s thumb injury: 1. It was gushing blood when it happened. 2. He was “zinging it pretty good today,” source said.

^^^Again, further corroborating all the takes we've heard in the past hour or so.

Curran's report lines up almost exactly with Felger's. The knuckle on his thumb connected to the webing with his index finger was seriously cut and had to be stitched up.

So it’s either a cut with stiches or his thumb is deformed

Imo a cut is better than a dislocation. Ive cut that area of my hand it it hurts like hell.

Sounds more like the Felger report, can't imagine a cut to the webbing of your hand would gush blood:
