Because playing overly aggressive is the way to go against running QBs.

It will be push-the-pocket, don't run upfield, just like always.
i agree.....for the most part

but there have been times that i thought he was way too conservative against running QBs or young QBs that he didnt have tape on

just one cutie's opinion

So, on to the titans or bills? couldnt ask for a better matchup for the patriots.

Kelce was eating them alive before his concussion. Should be a big gronk game. Hoping Jax wins and knocks off the steelers next week
Hopefully Cyrpien doesn't try to take out Gronk like he did Kelce.

What's he got to ***** about? He rested the whole top half of his roster in week 16.
He *****ed last year because we were at home on Saturday and they were on the road on Sunday. Apparently, he simply doesn’t grasp the concept of seeding in a bracket tournament.

So much for KC - Tenn. is on the way to Foxboro. Stunning upset

No Way Buffalo beats Pitts.

Oh he gets it, but he only chooses to ***** when the scheduling chips fall in such a way that disadvantages PIT. Back in the PM days, circa 2017, I seem to remember NEP getting screwed 4 playoffs in a row, drawing the short rest vs a +1 day rested opponent.

Kidding aside, I don't think #1/#2 seeding affects Sat/Sun decisions. IIRC, NFL decides based on maximizing TV eyeballs, putting the marquee match-ups and players in prime time slots.

I thought they were nuts. Turns out they can successfully predict injuries to key players.

LoL I don't mind being in the minority. Usually means I'm right.

All seriousness +9 was a gift imo. Played on casual fans preceptions.

I’m all for going against the popular public opinion, no doubt, but I didn’t see it as clearly as you did last night. At any rate, nice job.

Which damn team does snoop dog supports? He seems to be everywhere and supports just about every good or up and coming team.
Maybe us, now that we have Deebo :D

Like others have said I think the game ends most probably in a blowout if Kelce doesnt get hurt. I dont think the +9 was a gift at all under those circumstances but worked out because suddenly the Chiefs could not convert on third down at will anymore.

Now the Atlanta line was a giant gift that played on casual fans perceptions.

Agreed. KC covers that line in probably 70% of hypothetical games. Hell, even in that game with Kelce down, it still took a few miraculous plays and ref luck to eek out a one point victory. If NE isn't coasting with a 20+ point lead come 11pm this Saturday, I'll be shocked.

The Patriots will host either Kansas City, Tennessee or Buffalo for their first game of the 2017-18 post-season.

Many here feared Baltimore, who supposedly had about a 97% chance of making the playoffs prior to Sunday's games. Thanks for the schadenfreude, Harbaugh!

How does everyone here feel about each of those three potential opponents?

I came here to see the poll results from before the game. Oh wait no poll?

I’m not as sure. He’s experienced enough to where he’s got to be used to these types of games.

More importantly, I truly believe that he focused on the team itself this past week. I’d love to know the answer though, just out of curiosity.
My understanding is they gave a team of scouts and all 3 potential opponents were scoured thoroughly. That Work gets turned over to B.B. when the opponent is known.
The scouting process is way deeper than most of us realize. I know a young coach who spent a year as an entry level guy in the nfl. He was assigned a team (someone had all 31) and his job was to scout every player on the roster to be prepared with an evaluation if that player ever became available as well as overall scouting the team. In addition he would be among a team scouting 2 weeks out. If it was week 11 he would be scouting the week 13 opponent, then there was another group scouting one week out.
By the time the scouting prices reaches B.B. and the staff a ton of work has been done.

When I had a tour of the facility as part of a Bank of America customer event they took us to the team meeting room and the director of scouting explained that they have a complete workup on the team a week prior and then update it on Thursday/Sunday/Monday night after the game that occurred right before they face that opponent.
