Waiting for the first "16--0" post in 5...4...3...2...1...

I understand how the teams on the schedule are selected, but how do they determine who is home and who is away? We played in Pitt this year, and we're playing there again next year - they don't just alternate back and forth.

I don't love having to face the NFC North, but I love the home/away teams under the circumstances. The only change I'd make there, if I were manipulating things, would be Colts away and Jags home.

I mean with Edelman alone we would be 15-0 right now him tearing his acl pretty much ruined this teams chances of surpassing '07 imo so with him and a bunch of other guys coming back along with year 2 Cooks our offense next season will be what it would of been this year had Edelman didn't get hurt

Even our team said it would take the whole offense to replace Edelman so long story short barring major injuries to key weapons I expect a legitimate shot at another perfect season once and for all next year and I think its highly possible the job finally gets done, if we repeat this season imagine accomplishing all this next season

19-0 (First team in NFL history to finish 19-0)

3Peat (First team in NFL history to win 3 consecutive Super Bowls)

7 Super Bowl Titles (First team in NFL history to win 7 Super Bowls surpassing the Pittsburgh Steelers)

Thst lions game has basically been the thanksgiving game.

Book it

I was thinking the same thing.

No, I could be wrong but I believe that it’s no more than 3 in a row. We played at Pittsburgh in 2016, this year in 2017, and next year in 2018. Prior to that, there were at least 2-3 in Foxborough after the 2011 @PIT matchup.

They do alternate in a way, it's just that Pittsburgh ends up on our schedule for different reasons year to year. Sometimes it's because they placed 1st in their division like us, other times because we play the whole AFCN. The latter situation is predictable--every 3 years the site changes.

3 is indeed the magic number per my above post.

Based on those teams’ current standings, that’s a fairly “easy schedule.”

In most years that would be easy but the AFC South and NFC North will be two of the most competitive divisions, especially with Watson and Rogers coming back from injury.

Look at the number of games against teams who were competitive this season or will be with their QBs intact next year.

Vikings, Jags, Steelers, Chiefs, Packers, and Texans (w/Watson) are all Legitimate SB contenders.

Titans, Lions, Bills, Dolphins are all competitive teams who could push for playoff berths and even the Jets are capable of playing good football with good quarterback play.

That’s somewhere between 12-14 games against legitimate playoff competition, depending on how you see the Jets.

I doubt another team in the league has a tougher slate.

Thanks, makes sense. I hadn't considered AFC North game vs strength of schedule game.
