Nah, he uses magic water to cure concussions. Its all above board, you can trust him.

Not sure I have ever heard anyone suggest that Guerrero actually hurt or negatively impacted a Boston athlete. Unlike the Boston medical community - who actually killed one.

Ya .... water with donkey goo .... the straight **** is probably too hard to get down so he saves it for the joe theismanns of the world

Kinda stunned at these people bashing Guerrero. All he's done is extend Brady's career. Where is all the negativity coming from?

because people don't like to hear that what they are currently eating is not good for them and there is a better way. People are creatures of habit...and don't want to give up things they like.

That's very true. Maybe I am biased. I've been to the facility and I've been treated by him. Great person and a brilliant mind.

If you're referring to the incident to which I think you're referring, you need to get your facts straight. The "Boston Medical Community" assembled a dream team of 12 doctors who unanimously told Lewis to stop playing. That wasn't good enough for Donna Harris Lewis, who went "doctor shopping" and found a single outlier who stated it was safe to play.

If you're talking about another incident, please disregard the above.

From the fact that the man has a very shady past (and calling him "shady" is being generous). Maybe he has moved past it and maybe he is legit today. However, it cannot be denied that he has a shady past.

My pet theory - which I gladly admit is just a guess - is that he may have been bothering some of the other players, and they may be the ones who wanted him gone. To forbid him from seeing anyone besides Tom on the premises might be doing a favor for the other players, and not a random decision.

She found a professor of medicine from Harvard, division of cardiology, who did exactly what you said.

Where was it reported that he is forbidden from seeing other players?

From scientifically literate people that know things like concussion water and also drinks and foods purported to make your body alkaline are stupid money-making nonsense.

I'm not saying every idea is goofy, but some of them certainly are, and shouldn't be ignored.

Some people aren't crazy about have TB and the Patriots associated with a guy who, while he may have some really good ideas about nutrition, etc, also has a history as a glorified snake oil salesman. Back in the day, he had a clinic in CA, where he went by the moniker of Dr. Alejandro Guerrero, and he had a miracle cure. He claimed he'd done 'clinical studies' on 200 terminally ill patients suffering from assorted things such as cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. And 8 years later they were all supposedly alive, thanks to Supreme Greens(tm) (see his late night informercial for more). He also “promoted the product as, among other things, an effective treatment, cure, and preventative for cancer, heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes, and as a means of achieving substantial weight loss of up to 80 pounds in 8 months,” according to a complaint filed by the Federal Trade Commission. In addition, the FTC noted, Guerrero and his associates “claimed that Supreme Greens can be taken safely by pregnant women, children—including children as young as one year old—and any person taking any type of medication.”

Except it turned out he was not a doctor, not even of oriental medicine, and the clinical study had never existed. Supreme Greens had never been scientifically tested at all. He is supposed to (according to the FTC) have raked in 16 million in 18 months selling the stuff.

Then a decade later, he was hawking concussion water, NeuroSafe—a “seatbelt for your brain” that promised to protect users “from the consequences of sports-related traumatic brain injury. Endorsed by Tom Brady.

I'm sure there are elements to what he does that are beneficial, but that's a whole lot of bad karma to be dragging around, and I'm not especially enthusiastic about him being associated strongly with the Patriots brand. Not to mention, based on his previous actions, there really is no telling what he might put in a supliment that he then gives to the players.

God I just detest Gurrero and I wish Tom had never met him.

Here's my theory on why Tom's become so smitten with such a shady guy. The timeline might be a little off so correct me if I have something egregiously wrong. I think that Brady's QB mentor and almost second father Martinez dying in early 2012 really messed him up. He'd had someone guiding him his entire life from childhood, giving him advice on probably everything. And now he had this giant hole in his life. Now he may have already known Guerrero prior to this but this desire for someone to help guide his life led him to glum on to the guy almost obsessively. It cannot be a coincidence that it was around 2012-13 that Brady started his whole lifestyle and health crusade stuff. And its kind of spiraled out of control since then.

Brady's on record as saying that he started to distrust some aspects of Western medicine after complications from his 2008 knee surgery and resulting Staph infection almost ended his career. That led him to trust Guerrero more.

To be fair to western medicine, surgery always entails the risk of infection. I think it's dubious that Guerrero could have repaired his knee. Make that extremely dubious.

When 12 of 13 doctors give the right diagnosis, and the patient ignores the 12 to go with the 13th, it’s moronic to state the “Boston Medical Community - who actually killed (an athlete)” which is exactly what you said.

Oh yeah, I wasn't saying I sided with Brady or anything. I don't know the details of his case, and I really can't forgive Guerrero attempting to sell a snake oil cure for cancer back in the day. I was just responding to the poster who speculated on the origin of Brady's association with Guerrero.
