I don't normally go to opposing fans' boards. The exception is anytime we beat the Steelers. I don't think there is a dumber, more unhinged, angry, nasty fanbase in the NFL. Pure unintetnional comedy gold. Completely divorced from reality. They just cannot take a loss like a man. There is always an excuse. I assumed it would be the Brown injury. I guess I'm not crazy enough to get into the mindset of a Steelers fan. Nope, the refs are part of a massive conspiracy to help the most hated team in America secure home field advantage in the playoffs. You can't make this stuff up. They are serious. Hilarious (and a little bit sad) read.

NFL needs to investigate Corrente's Crew

I just get a kick out of the boastful attitude of Patriots nation after barely winning, and after trashing their team for 3 hours in the gameday thread.

The salt.

People around here post the same tinfoil hat **** about the refs, though. Even though the team has won two of the last three.

You’re mad?

I get a kick out of the empty yellow seats at Heinz Field and wonder why that happens to a storied franchise. Were they all at the concession getting Bratwurst?

FWIW, a lot of us stay out of the gameday thread. Toomuch drinking, whining, etc. I suspect that few,if any, of them were fans prior to Brady's arrival and/or remember the seasons where winning a game, ANY game, was an excuse for victorious debauchery and rollicking behaviour. Hell, beating the JETS was akin to winning a superbowl, someplace we thought we'd never get to.

So yeah, don't judge the board by the gameday thread(s) or the postgame meltdown if New Englnd loses.

Another Squealer board and more inbred angry losers without a clue as to the NFL rules.

Actually 1 guy got it right there props to him.

Robbed!!!!

I get a kick out of people so obsessed with another team that they feel the need to go to their forum and troll the fans. Used to be a nutbag Colts fan/troll named Underdog that polluted the boston.com forums. Now that the Colts have moved to the CFL we get Steelers trolls. Why are you even here? I just do not understand why people want to waste their time like that. Blows my mind.

And who cares if they "barely"won? At the end of the year all wins and losses are counted the same, whether it's a one point win or a 40 point win. It's not 1990s college football. Rich coming from a fan of a team that has spent the entire season barely squeezing out wins. Many against awful teams.

Please don’t judge us by our game day threads... that’s like our worst possible example of who we are! It’s 20% interested fans, 30% trolls, and 50% people just using the thread as an outlet for all of their negative thoughts and feelings during the game.

You're right. The pessimists come out to play during the game, and the homers collect their points after the win.

That being said, OP is right. Steelers fans are the worst. I'll once again bring up the fact that their most popular fan forum doesn't even allow fans of other teams.

The GDT's used to be a great companion piece to the games, now it's nothing more than the chicken little's calling it a season after the first incompletion by the offence or the defense giving up a first down.

I get the GDT is in the "heat of the moment" but jesus Brady, have some faith, and some have been around for years with high post counts and some, make alt accounts (*Pimp, cough*) and don't even change the way they post. Let's do a PimpNumeroFan drinking game for the game next week, it could get...greasy...

Can they provide proof that any of the calls were incorrect?

Would they like to take a closer look at their first td and verify the ol wasnt 5 yards downfield?

You misspelled steroid.

I'm not too proud to admit,

I've been a fan since the late 80s/ early 90s. I've come unhinged more than a few times in the gameday thread. Pretty sure I posted "10-6" towards the end of the game. I've posted some really stupid stuff. It's just passion, man. It short circuits the brain. That's how most Boston sports fans are wired. If anything, that angst has it's roots in the Red Sox futility, the Bruins being a joke for decades with one of the worst owners in pro sports history, the Celtics sucking for 21 years and the Patriots being a joke for most of their existence until the mid 90s. I can still remember a kickoff return in 1991 because it was the highlight of the year. Back then, you would watch the Pats and you weren't even rooting for a win. You just wanted to see some exciting plays. 12 wins in my young life as a Pats fan was incomprehensible, let alone getting to a Superbowl. I actually rooted for the Giants when it came to the playoffs. Was a big LT fan. Was excited when we signed Meggett. Makes me sick to think about now.

So I think it's just passion, more than people being pinkhats. Boston fans are unlike any other in sports. It's always been like this. I have a real problem with people telling someone how to be a fan, or what a "real fan" is. Wait what gives them the authority to decide that? It a ridiculous authority to claim to have. Everyone cheers in their own way. Doesn't make them any better or worse a fan than anyone else. I mean, if you are one of the jackasses that claims to be a Sox fan and then trashes David Ortiz, that's one thing. You are a fraud. But somebody being overly passionate, or "whiny" makes them a bandwagon fan? Naw.

No, you don't get a kick out of that at all. You're lying. Just admit it. This loss is KILLING YOU! You'll feel better. Stop living a lie. It'll kill 'ya...you dink!!!:)
