J. Kraft: Jones told us to "take your medicine"

I get the spiteful urge to stick it to the owner/team that stuck it to you/your team....but at the end of the day, you get judged by your actions, not your words or the words of others. If you honestly believe the commissioner's office is abusing its powers and the league could be better served with change, you don't lay down....you fight.
Brady fought.
Jones fights.
Kraft laid down.
Everything else is noise.

I agree. If you know something is wrong you fight it. If someone tells you to take your medicine even though what's making you sick is ridiculous you don't have to open your mouth and drink the whole bottle.

Another thread turns into a bashing and defending Bob Kraft..

Am mindful of what this team was like prior to Mr. Kraft, we were a perennial laughingstock of the league, no more of that ******** and embarrassment.... no sense going down memory lane about how this team was so bad for so many years and the beating Pats Fans took from all of the azzholes who rooted for Miami and NY Jets..

Goodell's intent has been to sabotage BB from the onset, as he is not a follower of the "Goodell Entourage", and it has backfired wonderfully..

I am always thankful that this team did not move away, and was not faced with choices about who would merit my fandom..

Jonathan handled this controversy masterfully with his commentary.. no need for tantrums..

This century:

Cowboys are o- fer and "Fightin' Jerry's" team wilted on national tv at home last night.

Patriots are

No, because Brady knew that continuing to fight would cost both the team and him professionally. The current CBA allows the commissioner to do what he wants. The owners loved the idea but now the don't. Don't think for a second that all the other owners did not call for Brady to be suspended.

And, by the way, Brady gave up just as well. And, unlike Kraft, he wasn't in a business partnership with the people he was going against. Brady did the best he could at that time. It was decision to make for his own family. Just like with Kraft's.

We are only disappointed in how he gave up during spygate and deflategate. That doesn't mean we hate him. It's irrational to expect anyone to love someone unconditionally whom they have no family ties with, even then that can be difficult.

At least he put up some resistance. When the guy calling you guilty says it's not about balls anymore but about my power to do what I want, you just gotta shake your head and let it go.

Precisely. Brady also did the only thing he could at that time.

But Brady is not in a partnership business with the people he was fighting.

Kraft is.

The folks coming down on Kraft but not Brady for giving in do not understand this is not a comic book. It is business.

Brady carrying on a legal battled against outside forces is a FAR easier thing to do versus carrying on a legal fight against one's business partners.

It's amazing how many posters here have not understo0od the difference.

Actually,I was equally disappointed that BRADY stopped. What did he have to lose other than lawyer fees? But I understand. Kraft had far more to lose by taking even one step farther.

His mom had cancer and the suspension could have been applied during the season or later. That is why he stopped

He stopped because he had no other viable alternative.

In a different way, so did Kraft. He had no viable alternative.

Let's sit back and see what viable alternative Jerry Jones has.

.

This hypocrite, POS.

I really hate this guy.

And , a big reason this burns me, is because I had Cowgirl fans trying to sell me this same BS.

Patriots' Jonathan Kraft: Jerry Jones told us 'take your medicine' during deflate-gate

How are those Cowboys fans this morning? Did they file a police report over the vicious home invasion 37-9 beating last night?

Do they get a tax deduction for the interest paid on their PSLs?

Most importantly: Ask them how fast would they'd trade Jerry Jones for Bob Kraft.

1) Apples to oranges / Corporate games vs Sunday games.
Jerrah may not have as many trophies, but I bet he enjoys the extra $100's of millions of revenue his behemoth organization earns every year and the extra billions in valuation. Scores get measured differently ...but true...Bob is doing very well on both...for now. Long term....Jerrah will always own the corporate championship trophy and every owner would happily swap places.
2) Brady fought and fought until the last alternative was arguing deflated footballs in front of the Supreme Court...a case with a <1% chance of being heard. You can call that giving up if you like. Wrap it around the "did what was right for his family" fluff if that makes you feel all warm and cozy.
3) Regarding the "business partnership" aspect of your argument, I guess the appropriate course of action is to rubber stamp group think with "change" being a forbidden word. No wonder Roger asked for $50 million, owners are forbidden to contest it....among other things.
4) Jonathan's role is unique. While his father relishes the "statesman" status he has cultivated and refined over the years, the lucky sperm club son is allowed to openly scrap and his interjection this past weekend was simply an attempt to deflect from the facts: the Krafts laid down. The he said/she said spew that Jonathan rehashed is as relevant as tits on a bull.

Do you really mean that?

There's several million Dallas fans who would gladly change owners with us.

.
lol dyslexia hit, those should be switched ...context clues from rest of post should have made that evident as well...

Nah, I busted their chops when Zeke first got suspended.

It was glorious.

They basically called for a peace treaty.
But doesn't mean I'm not loving how their season is going....and ours. :p

He had USSC

I assume USSC means US Supreme Court.

Did he take his case to the Supreme Court? I don't recall him doing that.

.
Yes and no he didn't but that was his final option
