Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor out for season

Today: The Patriots are favorites to win the SB this year having lost Edelman, Mitchell and Hightower for the season.

2016: They won the SB last year without IR'ed Dion Lewis, Sebastian Vollmer Tre Jackson, Gronkowski, and having traded away Jamie Collins mid-season

2015: They were a two point conversion away from going to the SB in 2015 employing Brandon Bolden and the Ghost of Steven Jackson as our entire running game.

2013: They went to the AFCCG with Gronk, Mayo, Wilfork, Tommy Kelly and Vollmer on the IR. Their top WRs were Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Tompkins.

2004: They won SB 39 with God Knows Who (Poteat, Gay, Troy Brown and Earth Wind and Fire) playing as our cornerbacks.

Sorry for the woes of the Seahawks, but great franchises grow a pair and use their depth to get through. Boo effing hoo. Their not the Patriots.

.
Lewis wasn't on IR last year. Only to begin the year. He was a major contributor in the Texans playoff game.

In 2013, Edelman & Amendola were the top WRs.

Ha! I was reading the Seahawks fan forum, and someone posted a tweet on Wednesday that a source said it's possible Chancellor would end on IR. Of course people on the Seahawks forum ridiculed the tweet. Ouch!o_O

He was pup iirc

The list of teams that could beat the Pats in a Super Bowl is rapidly shrinking.

Green Bay and Seattle were the two biggest threats, and both are done. Minnesota's a fraud, Philly and LA aren't ready yet. Literally the only team that worries me is Carolina, and their biggest weapon against us in week 4 (Kelvin Benjamin) is gone.

I wouldn’t consider myself “worried” about any team in NFC, but since we would have to play someone in the SB, NO would be the team I would “worry” about most.

They're done for the year. They just don't have the firepower on offense to be able to compete now.

Their offense starts slow but when they get on a roll they are tough. Their vaunted defense will develop some holes now...

Philly looks tough. Do you suspect that they will regress like KC?

Disagree about remaining threats. Carolina win was a fluke. I was there. Bad game, bad calls. Cam won't be that lucky again.
On the Threat Radar:
KC especially if AFCCG is in KC (least of the threats)
NO...Brees
Eagles

Happens here too. I've been one of the pitchfork crowd when it's happened, so I personally can't laugh at 'em.

And their QB is a head case. BB with two weeks to scheme him on the big stage will make him even more jittery than the only other time he was in a SB.

Yeah but what happened here was distasteful. The guy who joined the forum and told everyone he saw Edelman in a boot and some people started attacking him for it. That was ****ed up.

Nobody was attacking poster of the tweet on the Seahawks forum, just ridiculing the tweet.

Actually they were pretty much a missed XP from our kicker who had previously made 500+ straight XPs from going to the Super Bowl.

Umm, I think you forgot Edelman.

Also, note that Thompkins was on IR by the AFCCG, and Dobson was playing on one foot

Injury bug hitting Philly, LT Jason Peters, LB Jordan Hicks both went on IR and depth isn't that great. Wentz better stop running or he is going to get crushed....

The age of the dynasty feels like it is coming to a close -- once the Patriots abdicate. Looking around the league and looking at the last few years it appears that a new age of the muddled middle will be the NFL of the future (at least that's what it feels like).

As far as Kam C, not a fan but hate to see a player go down for the season. Seahawks are definitely in need of stingy D to be successful. We'll see what these player losses mean to them. To date, except the Texans, no offense has thrived against them but their O hasn't really thrived either.

Carolina? I'd be disappointed if NE only beat them by 14.

Philly, StL, NO, Minny and Seattle (even in their current state) are all much bigger threats than the Panthers. You could even convince me that Washington is as well.
