We're On To Oakland

should be a good game. Raiders defense is a sieve though, so if the pats can play sound defense I think that this can be a win

What an odd coincidence. Look at this quote:
"The season is going to be a game in Pittsburgh in December. Everything leading up to that is just a formality"
Steelers HC Mike Tomlinson speaking to his team just prior to yesterday's game against the Indianapolis Colts that the Steelers eked out on a last minute field goal.

So, VectorPrime is actually Tomlinson trolling this forum?

I have a bad feeling about Pittsburgh this year, like I’m reliving the nightmare of the 2015 Broncos. They’ve been incredibly lucky and healthy....I have this bad feeling they will get every break imaginable and beat some injury depleted version of us by a point. And, I just hate that team so much I couldn’t stomach watching them win it all. Easily my most hated team in the NFL.

Watch yesterday's game against the Colts. That should make you feel better. The Steelers were awful.

Patriots have to get a pass rush on Roth and make him very uncomfortable..if that happens, it's all over for the Squealers......

On the Pats Defense, CB Butler makes me nervous....hope it was just one off game for him ..Sander isn't a slouch :D

The Oakland offense is for real.

Trolling?

They've scored 17 points or fewer in over half of their games this season. They're about mid pack in both PPG and YPG.

Oakland has 3 big WR options and all are dangerous. TE Cook 6'4 235 lbs is actually their leading pass catcher. Crabtree (6-2 215) and Cooper (6-1 210) are good sized WRs. Their OL is of course out standing.

This game will come down to Chung, Gilmore and Butler. I think after facing the super speedy and quick Sanders he will be happy to square off with these guys.

I'd say Gilmore on Crabtree and Butler on Cooper makes the most sense. Crabtree plays a very physical game and that is up Gilmore's alley.

On offense it is just about not letting Mack take over the game. Again have Develin in to help chip him this game too and that should pretty much leave their D exposed.

I will go on record now and say cooks will have a big game. He's due for one.

One other factor to consider. The Pats just played a game at altitude ( 5200 ft) and are training at altitude before going on to Mexico City ( 7000 ft). The Raiders were on a bye week and if they do the usual go into a city a day or two before for an away game, I would give the advantage to the Pats for preparing for the elements... Raiders could easily get gassed if they aren't acclimated...

Based on how the teams are playing at this point, I would expect us to have a similar game as last night with Raiders too. They will score some points but our defense has been getting better and should make enough plays to put us in a better position to win.

Denver was garbage. Oakland is worse. No worries at all except the usual things like injuries or stupid turnovers..

Oakland is undisciplined but they still have Carr whose miles better than Brock. That said, oaklands D is abysmal. I expect brady to drop 35-40 on Oakland.

Like you say.. I think our offense is substantially better than the 2017 Raiders offense and their defense is far, far worse than our defense. I dont see a path for them to win the game that doesnt involve injuries and/or 2+ turnovers on our end.

If they do it like last year, they will travel early in the week, i remember them having some special events with the team and some fans during the week last year before their game against the Texans.

How to beat the steelers.

Stop the run, Bell makes that team click.
Double coverage on Brown.
Get Wise, Flowers and KVN, to lay the **** out of Big Ben.

Steelers if they play zone they will get carved up as we know. Do the steelers have someone that could cover cooks, from a speed point of view as that obviously will make a difference if they will play Man/zone.

One steeler I wish we had would be shazier, really rate him!

Agreed...but I give Oakland a better chance than Denver just because they have an elite QB capable of carr
Yep, pretty much exactly how I feel, too. Obviously, it would be great to win in Pittsburgh in Dec., but I have a feeling the Steelers will be treating that as their SB, while Belichick may be preparing for a second matchup in the back of his mind.

Brady owns Pittsburgh

Raiders playing New England in Mexico City a 'competitive disadvantage'

>>>>It has nothing to do with playing in Mexico City. The Raiders fared well there last year, with a dramatic victory over the Texans. They dealt with long travel and the altitude well, flying in on Sunday for a Monday night game.

"We're going to take the challenges that are in front of us and plan and do the very best we can within those situations," Del Rio said. "We establish our approach and look to find every advantage we can to do it as well as possible. I think certainly having success doing it last year kind of validates that a little bit. To me, you have to strain for it every year. You have to strain for the details of what makes it special."

While the Raiders are coming in late to stay out of the altitude, the Patriots are staying in it a long time. ESPN reports New England will stay in Colorado after playing Sunday in Denver to remain at elevation.>>>>>>
