Now, the Any part of his body may indicate that you only need one, but we've seen catches called back for just one body part before.
When?

There's a reason Madden called his autobiography "One Knee Equals Two Feet".

He doesn't need to make a football move since it's in the endzone. Just come down with it in-bounds and then complete the process of the catch. But I don't think he ever came down in-bounds.

The process of a catch doesn't matter. Once the ball was loose and hit the plane, he would have had to have been IN BOUNDS for it to have counted..

It looks like he comes down in bounds with his knee. It's also clear he fumbled it.

The real question is when he re-established possession. I agree with other posters that the video is inconclusive (from the angles we were shown), it should have stayed a TD.

There is clear evidence that the ball was loose and he didn't have control of it until AFTER he went out of bounds..

Of course you are trolling.
Think what you want.
No the quality posting would still be here.
Still trolling huh?

Just take your L man

You're wrong. Your condescending nature can't save you on this one

No. completing the process of regaining possession is the same rule as competing the process of the catch. The ref ruled he didn't "survive the ground" and that is why possession was never legally regained

Which replay because there were shots that they didn't show on TV that the Ref got to see?
The ref said he only has the ones we see.
You should refer to the refs post game press conference. It's all in there.

Dez Bryant says HI. So does Calvin Johnson. But, yeah.. OK..
Huh? Those are not applicable.
Whether it's 2 feet or 1 knee you still have to complete the catch.
The difference is you are in bounds when 1 knee touches but out of bounds if the second foot is out.

Well, I won't be too harsh on them. Pats were against a stellar QB group in the first 6 games:

1. Alex Smith - 368 yards, 148.6 rating. 2016 record - 233 yards per game, 91.2 rating
2. Drew Brees - 356 yards, 99.9 rating. 2016 record - 326 yards per game, 101.7 rating
3. Deshaun Watson - 301 yards, 90.6 rating. 2016 record - rookie.
4. Cam Newton - 316 yards, 130.8 rating. 2016 record - 234 yards per game, 75.8 rating.
5. Jameis Watson - 336 yards, 86.7 rating. 2016 record - 255 yards per game, 86.1 rating
6. Josh McCown - 354 yards, 84.9 rating. 2016 record - 220 yards per game, 72.3 rating.

Besides Brees, all these 4 other veterans average about 220-250 yards per game and the averaged closer to 100 more yards versus us. And the 6th guy is a rookie. Something is damn wrong.

The average passer rating against us at the moment is 109.2. Only Browns at 112 is worse. That's ridiculous.

And the yards per pass attempt, which is an even better statistic to judge against, places us dead last by some margin.

This is bad.

People who rely on "Passer Ratings" shouldn't be talking about football. The "Passer Rating" is one of the most ridiculous and over-blown rating ever..

Who gives a **** about yards ? Are you getting points for yards nowadays ? Seriously this is laughable. Just need to use another great Chatham tweet..

Just watched the condensed game some take aways:

1. Offense looked very good throughout second and third quarter the lost fumble and the INT derailed some solid drives in a row. To be fair the INT was a 50/50 ball can see what's tb12 was doing (made up for it on the next drive).

2. OL looked alright RB also assisted TB12 with their blocking. Brady was hung out to dry a few times but I thought he was kept relatively ok.

3. D except for the first two drives were ok. Butler looked exceptional. Some how we need to pick up things on the front 7. Not sure what. He called it straight away on the fumble. I think the rule is ridiculous the consequences of a fumble when recovered should not be a turnover - also no idea when he regained control
Of the football. Best call would have been 3rd and Goal.

4. Gronk played at his A game - there is no other TE like him in football.

5, Brady was flinging it. He doesn't throw the football around like a 40 year old. His accuracy was off today though. He and the offense have to do better on 3rd and shorts in the fourth corner- the throw to Danny was perfectly timed and weighted just off by a couple of CM. He does seem a bit down on this team though- I'm not sure he thinks this team has what it takes. Who knows. Probably looked into his press conference a little bit too much

6. The touchback occurred at the 7.5 minute mark Fouts was still going on about it three drives later. Legitimately missed two special teams plays and Patriots possession talking about it. I understand the frustration but seriously mate it's a TV piece. No wonder we all ❤️ Romo

Prob already posted.

I guess it's the new flavor of the month but Lewis is our best RB. He breaks the most tackles of all our Rbs by a large margin. Gilly hits the hole hard but can't do much without a hole. I watched Lewis run right around a wall to get at least a yard last game. I'm glad we have both though because it increases our chances Lewis won't get hurt and help us down the stretch.

First of all, the "TUCK" rule was put in place LONG before that game. It was put in place because of Steve Young.

Secondly, only dumb asses who don't understand the rules think it was a terrible call. It had been called several times that year prior to the game against the Raiders. Had Gruden actually watched tape of the Pats/Jets game he would have see it called in the Jets' favor. So he only has himself to blame for not knowing the rule.

They didn't "get rid" of the Tuck rule. They changed it. And it took them 6-7 years before the change happened.

If you showed the tuck rule to a group of 5 year old kids and asked them if it was a fumble, they would all say yes. Like its not hard to look at a play and go, "thats a fumble, and any obscure rule that says otherwise is just plain idiotic"

The tuck rule was never a patriots problem or a raiders problem, it was an nfl problem that they themselves have since corrected. Better late than never

So how do you explain a league worst 27 points per game the patriots give up?

And if not for a lucky rule that was still questionable, the patriots give up at least 20 + yesterday to the worst NFL in the league
