Not arguing with you but.....Orr stands above all in my humble opinion. He literally changed the game forever.
Plus if you looked at him the wrong way on the ice he would pummel you.
Only player in any sport who not only revolutionized the game but still played it in way that epitomized the old fashioned way.

I was mostly referring to what Brady's doing now and has done for the last couple years at his advanced age. Orr didn't do that. Don't think anyone has.

Only Dman to ever lead the league in scoring. 3rd alltime in points per game average. Changed the game forever.

That being said, Brady’s excellence over a LONG period of time, puts him ahead of ORR in my book. 5 Championships and 4 SB MVPs also puts him ahead in my book. Dominating a league for 17 seasons is unheard of.

He really is adding a whole new dimension to the GOAT discussion, and that is longevity. This guy has been great for what seems like forever now. We had Bird for what...maybe 7 or 8 "Great" years.
The hatred and vitriol for all things "Patriots" will no doubt continue to sway the naysayers, but to hell with them. New York has Ruth, Chicago has Jordan, Edmonton has Gretzky, and New England has Tom "Frickin" Brady.
Here's to JG riding the pine for a few more years. Sorry Jimmy

Jimmy G won’t be riding the pine next season. He’ll be starting for another team. I’ll root for him except if he plays against the Pats

The great cellist Pablo Casals was once asked, at The age of 90, why he still practiced.

He said "I think I'm making progress."

I'm convinced they'll change that story to be about TFB.

This man could take the starting 4 WRs from Foxboro HS and win NFL football games.

The argument has long been over. He truly is the Greatest Football Player to have ever laced up NFL cleats...

Thank you Tommy, we've been truly blessed over these last 17 years and it's Not Over...

#PeytonsDaddy...

Brady could actually retire with 7 rings, 250+ wins, and 30 + playoff wins. Matter of fact I believe he will achieve all 3.

Oh so did Peyton Manning.

Wait, they just hang a banner for "Participant" years right? Then never mind.

He didn't even participate that many times.

Depends what you hang a participation banner for. I'm sure that somewhere in the bowels of LucasOil stadium (if LucasOil hasn't pulled out of that naming deal by now) there's a banner just marking the time the offense beat the defense in the last preseason practice of the 2010 training camp.

PS, as others race to find the latest superlative to describe how badly the defense plays, a good old-fashioned TFB thread is, of course, welcomed. We should note how many times Brady can be the offensive player of the week is dependent at least in part on how long it takes the defense to stop forcing shootouts and heroics.

So if they pull some bastard move and turn into a good defense by mid-season, poor Tom will again be relegated to discussions about being 40. ("He hasn't thrown three or more touchdowns for four weeks now...it must be the 40 y.o. cliff" that sort of thing)

Has anyone ever won the award 3 weeks in a row? Just curious. I highly doubt that it's ever been achieved.
