Every day, every night, every morning. Same thing. At 2:30am, its still there. Are you seriously saying that Ticketmaster can't handle the human demand at 2:30 in the morning that it has to put people into hold screens for hours on end, but the week before the AFC championship game, there were no issues?

Generally, I agree with the sentiment of your post. The level of greed is insane. I am convinced that their decisions to maximize profits over improving the fan experience will hurt them in the long run.

I am 100% convinced that bots are buying these tickets up faster than any human can make the purchase.

Lets assume this is true; the NFL ticket exchange is being bought by bot third party sellers. This is might be an example of league incompetence than league greed. They would have failed to write ticket selling code that can differentiate between real buyers and computer scripts.

Or maybe these third party sellers give these sellers give the NFL a cut when they sell above face value. Are you claiming that the NFL intentionally lets third parties buy up all ticket exchange tix for resale?

I called the box office today cause I keep getting the ticket exchange issues mentioned and they said they're aware of the problem and working with Ticketmaster. So frustrated as trying to get tickets to bring my kids to their first game. Would be nice if its fixed for tomorrow!

I am a season ticket holder and cannot attend every game. I'd rather make triple the face value of the tickets by selling them on the secondary market then putting them up on the ticket exchange.

Sorry guys, I guess it's my fault.

That's interesting, I've been emailing them since August about this, and they refused to admit it was anything other than "high demand". Glad they are changing their tune.

Has anyone officially complained to the team about the exchange? Maybe the move should be to get as many season ticket holders and wait list folks as possible to complaint to the team so that they'll do something about it.

Edit - whoops - somehow did not see the 2 posts right above mine.

UPDATE:

The ticket team just called me, acknowledge that their is definitely an issue with the exchange, and they can see it internally when testing. Thought it doesn't appear to affect all accounts. They are working with Ticketmaster to resolve.

They were super nice about it, thanked me for reporting it and following up on it, apologized for the inconvenience, etc. Very good customer service. They even offered me 4 tickets to Sunday's Texans game at face value. Cheap seats, but still a really nice gesture.

So they are working on it! I don't have any faith in Ticketmaster, but I continue to have very positive exchanges with the Patriots ticket office.

I just got through - 2 separate seats available for Sunday...didn't bite because can't have my anxiety ridden 12 year old son sitting by himself!

I was wondering though, if you could stay and watch in that new area on the third level above the south end zone - can't remember what it's called. I checked it out w my 9 year old daughter (took her to NYG preseason game) and its pretty cool.

So, anyone know if you can basically use this area as a "standing room" section - or will team ops brownshirts kick you out of there after a period of time...

I believe that's why they put it there. Also, they put that drink rail above the lower ring in other sections. Saw plenty of people standing in 313 area throughout the game.

Thanks...

Exchange was working fine last night at midnight. There was one pair listed as singles in 115. Couldn't risk buying one and missing out on the other. Also a single in 134 and a group of 5 in 225. I see these groups of 5 often. No one can buy them because of 4 ticket limit. These tix were for tomorrow's game.
Looks like today the site is back to the virtual waiting room.

Wow. I just checked. It is the first time I have seen tickets available. Thanks @Darrone .

It's too late for this week but hopefully I can get some for the next home game.

It's still broken for me a week later as well.

Another week, no change, still just a spinning hamster wheel.

Fellow Patsfans.com'er Pats4Life12 has been able to get a ticket on the exchange for the last two home games (had to go Stubhub last year). He just kept trying & bought very close to game day. Maybe the demand has gone down for the bots as the Pats haven't looked so good, or he just got lucky.
