Beating Denver will be critical for NE. Losing the tie breaker advantage to both KC and Denver will create a playoff path on the road at inhospitable venues.
Good news...Pats go into Denver after a bye week.
Bad news..Pats go into Denver after a bye week.
My fear playing Denver: NE's WR situation could allow Denver's D to put 8 in the box. I also fear Denver's running game that has proven it can dominate verses NE.
You think anyone is going to put 8 in the box against Tom Brady? With Gronk? 8 in the box against GRONK?
God I hope so.

Denvers defense is still pretty good but nowhere near what it used to be and that will be evident when they face good offenses.

Donks lost their starting left tackle. Looked serious. That could impact their season
Just to update: Bolles returned to practice today and is considered week to week, so forget what I said about the 4-6 week timetable. It's looking like he won't miss much time at all.

Sorry to have to break it to @supafly, because I know he's a huge Broncos fan, but much like last year, Denver will provide the easiest game on NE's schedule.

Yes, you caught me.

Because I pointed out how you incorrectly predicted a blowout in both of the 2015 losses to the Broncos, it automatically makes me a fan of Denver's team.

You're a sharp one.

I was correct in both cases. The Patriots were 35+ points better than Denver in both meetings. The fact that Denver ended up playing NE's practice squad instead of their actual A team is not my fault.

This does not change the fact that you're an enormous Broncos fan. It is abundantly evident with each post you make.

Why? They have what could easily be the best defense in the game, an excellent home field advantage, a good running game with Anderson and Charles, 2 solid WRs with Thomas and Sanders, and a QB who is making good reads and getting them the ball.

I don't know how everything will shake out for us with injuries, but you bet your ass that teams like KC, DEN, PIT, and even OAK are competitors for the AFC crown. I'm surprised that there are people who wouldn't think that. For example, look at PIT's easy ass schedule. They may have 3-4 difficult games over the entire season, and you need to involve the Ravens just to get to that. None of our games against the Broncos, Raiders or Steelers are at home, and the one that was (KC) was a loss. How is that not a challenge, at least for a bye or HFA?

Because dude, How can you take a team seriously with a QB whose last name is Semen.

Again, the fact that you are even able to come and post here is mind boggling, but you're certainly free to think whatever you like.

I suspect that you'll be permanently banned at some point in the near future, anyway.

Let’s be honest here. It’s early in the season, but the AFC isn’t shaping up to be the cakewalk we thought it might be. Denver, Oakland, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh all look like contenders. Denver wasn’t far from contention last year; they still had a top defense and Siemian wasn’t bad at all. They struggled to convert drives into touchdowns and lost a lot of close games. I felt Pittsburgh, in addition to their idiotic scheme, lacked a solid CB and big playmaker on defense. If Haden and Watt both pan out, they have improved quite a bit on defense, and we know their offense has championship talent. The AFC may have a lot of very strong teams for the first time in awhile.

This coming from a guy who wanted Brady gone when they lost to KC in 2014.

And, for good measure, you were also at the head of the class ripping Belichick and whining about how he had ruined their roster.

OOPS

Great calls, both of them.

So don't bother trying to call out one of the best fans and poster's in this site when you gave up, talked mega sh.t, and ran away more than two Super Bowl wins ago.

But be sure to keep us updated on how your Jags are doing.

Yeah, easiest game on the schedule. Wasn’t Brady 0-8 or so to start the game? I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish in downplaying how tough Denver is at Mile High.

I found it interesting that the Lions chose to announce yesterday's contract extension for HC Jim Caldwell.

New contract was supposedly signed during training camp, but is this an attempt by former Pats employee and current Lion GM Bob Quinn to inspire the troops who face a tough task in stopping the Falcons?

IMO the Lions are overrated and will be outclassed by Atlanta and as always Caldwell will provide memorable deer in the headlights moments.

What was the hurry to sign Caldwell now as opposed to waiting for the season to play out, were you worried some other team was going to steal him away?

I used to think he was bad but, if you look at his results they speak for themselves. Caldwell consistently wins and nearly went undefeated in Indy. Colts would have been far better off sticking with Polian and Caldwell.

Is the Ravens/Jax London game 930AM game deemed so unwatchable that no local channel is showing it?

I was looking forward to see a hurting Joe Flacco and a makeshift Oline fare against a powerful Jax pass rush.

Do London fans know enough to boo after Bortles throws his third interception?

Nevermind, Yahoo is streaming it.

Cross the ravens off the list.
