... no? They had two healthy receivers with more than a week's experience in the offense, and the Chiefs were playing them close and taking away all the short stuff. Taking deep shots downfield is the best way to beat that defense, assuming you don't have someone like Edelman who can manufacture a short passing offense against anyone.
Look at the Houston divisional round last year. Similar style of offense for the same basic reasons.
40 year old qb running a down field passing attack doesn't seem odd to you?
With Edelman and Mitchell gone, Chris Hogan being doubled, and Amendola going out with a concussion; they didn't have as much of a choice.
I think so. Even the spike was weakWell that was certainly a shocker. Team played like hot garbage and just felt very off after that failed 4th conversion. That momentum swing just seemed to make the team melt apart.
Front seven is very concerning and even more so are all these injuries. Speaking of, i think Gronk is hurt too. Did he hurt himself of that non TD? Didn't look the same after.
Cooks was open a good amount of times he wasn't the issue. Why would it? Brady's arm strength is fine, and the chain mover is out for the year. This team may end up having to use a RB as the chain mover, if one of the receivers doesn't step up. Certainly, neither Hogan nor Cooks did that tonight.
Everything I read and heard was that they were going to make the offense vertical this year. Maybe all those guys were wrong. With Edelman and Mitchell gone, Chris Hogan being doubled, and Amendola going out with a concussion; they didn't have as much of a choice.
that was the problem. No matter how much the game has evolved you have to do those things. The QB isn't the problem

There will be a learning curve with Cooks, just like any other new receiver.Cooks was open a good amount of times he wasn't the issue.
so why is it we have a 40 year old running a verticle threat offense?
"BB has created a vertical offense to intentionally make TB look bad so he can justify going with JG."
Somebody actually posted this in the thread. I guess as ****ty as tonight is with the loss and everything we can all at least take solace that we are NOT the poster who posted this.
