Patriots Lose Austin Carr, Bring Karras and Others Back to Practice Squad

Ian Logue

It's been a busy day so far on Sunday, with some former Patriots ending up with other teams, while others managed to slip through waivers and end up back in New England.

At least Carr went to the Saints, so there's a decent chance he'll be back here in a year or two anyways. :)

After Carr's preseason it seemed like he would be picked up, hope he does well.

Happy that karras, hollister and Grissom are still with us

Bates listed twice

What's Next As Far As Transactions?

1) We'll sign a 10th PS member, hopefully a QB. But maybe, there aren't any scrubs from other teams that are of interest.

2) We might put a player on IR.

3) We might sign a veteran free agent.
=========================
Perhaps, we're settling down for now.

I guess that we have our backup centers on the PS: Ferentz and Karras. Perhaps they will be paid more than other PS players.

In any case, Belichick will have transactions almost every week during the season, as is his norm.

With Willie Snead suspended 3 games, AC might actually see the field

TE Bucky Hodges released.. was he not in for a pre draft visit. Could bring in for the practice squad.

I really liked Carr. I think he could have been successful with the Pats.

Glad Foster made it to the PS.

Almost all of these guys have "cut their teeth" in the Pats system and know it well, so if they are needed they are more familiar with their roles than our practice squad usually is..

Update I think they all went through OTA's and TC..
