Pure gold from the Falcons forum

Think about this. The Celtics, Canadians, Yankees, all these incredible dynasties. But, when they were happening you had a tv, radio, and newspaper and some magazines.

Think about what we have now for media and instant ways we get to receive and give info. Being dynasty today is great. You get to see the torture inflicted on people.

The OP was funny, but then the rest of the thread tearing it down was funnier.

Falcons fans really had the rug pulled out from underneath them with that loss. It's going to hurt for a while. Remember Pats fans reaction to 2007 - took like 8 years to calm down.

Who says we're calm? I still have a twitch like Chief Inspector Dreyfus from the Pink Panther whenever it comes up.

it really is incredible for schadenfreude.

it's too much fun to check out the Colts/Fins/Jets/Bills/Falcons/Steelers message boards and see them looking in the shadows and chasing ghosts over the Pats

What planet do these people live on? Accepted it rather easily... I guess taking things to the Supreme Court is accepting it rather easily...

You can bet your sweet bippy that Brady would have taken that to the limit if his mom wasn't sick.

I hate Goody and the 32 more each day.

Actually I think the thread had merit since the topic was hot. You want dumb? Read Chrisr2223's posts in that thread. Guy is seriously stupid.

The Dunning-Kruger effect, which basically states, the stupid are too stupid to realize they are stupid. That's Chris2223

One guy said if anyone should be ashamed, it's the Patriots for being down 28-3 at one point. If our team should be ashamed of that, what does that make the Falcons team?

Well by half time I don't really disagree with that. We shot ourselves in the foot multiple times in the first 30 min of reg. However, the way we overcame that shameful performance clearly evens things out.

I'll spend a little time over that, that dude Gazoo is crazy but he makes some reasonable points.

I'm certainly not fully over it, never will be.. But 2 rings since helps the pain..

It sort of adds to the legacy when you think about it..

"So you're telling me the same team that won 5 SBs also came within 1 min of a perfect season??"

Yes, yes they did.

Lmfao! None of his points are reasonable. His hatred for Brady is incredible. He keeps tearing down Brady to try to prop up Matt Ryan. The irony is that he really doesn't believe in Matt Ryan if He has to try to tear down Brady to try to elevate Matt Ryan.

but he makes some reasonable points.

I did not see this comment until Wheelman pointed it out. What were his reasonable points?

I'm not going to go back and try to find his posts, but there were a few legitimate points that he's made in the past. Trust me, I know he's a lunatic lol

The level of deflategate ignorance around the league is baffling. "Accepted it rather easily"?? When, in the history of sports, has a team ever created an entire website to proclaim their innocence over an issue like this?

IMHO, Brady did not appeal the final decision for a combination of 3 reasons:

1) First and foremost, the chances of winning were ridiculously small (even less than the chances of coming back from 28-3). The USSC listens to about 1% of appeals, and this case didn't fit the criteria of cases they normally listen to.

2) There was a very serious health situation going on in his immediate family which made stretching this out even further on such a ridiculous long shot more upsetting than it was worth, and

3) Appealing the suspension further could potentially have led to the suspension taking place at an unknown - and more inconvenient - time and place. There is value is certainty. Better to take 4 games now than a 99+% chance of having to take 4 at an undetermined time.

In the UK, this is what we would call a 'WUM'. That is a 'wind up merchant', which is someone who says something to get a rise out of people. The OP doesn't believe this at all...I would even debate if he was a Falcon

I immediately say its sarcastic but then again you don't have to go far on this forum to find people who believe any conspiracy theory.
