Not being a tech-savvy youngster that grew up with an IPAD in my crib, is it easy and straight forward? Do I just go to Best Buy and purchase it? Are there any other hoops to jump through or steps that I need to take? I don't really understand the technology, but I think I remember seeing it at Best Buy.
Easy to do. Just look at a youtube vid or two and in about ten minutes you'll have installed KODI and a "Build" onto the firestick. After some time some links may not get updated so knowing how helps in that you can just check youtube for the latest and greatest and install that one and stay functioning and up to date.

Installing Kodi youtubes looked to complicated to me, and most required a windows computer. I bought one already installed on ebay for about $70.

I've been subscribing to Gamepass for 7 years now. It's the best thing since sliced bread. 4k crystal clear streaming. All games in the league. You get the broadcast cover, but also a "Game in 40 minutes" truncated feature (just the plays without the dead time), which is useful for watching other teams games, and also the Coaches Film. It's awesome.

Also you get the NFL RedZone, which I watch when not watching a Pats game. Pats often have a afternoon or evening slot, or Monday game, so Sunday 1pm can be NFL Redzone time which jumps between all games live wherever a team is in the red zone. It's great.

Plus you get the NFL Network as well............ which is whatever. But you get access to all NFL Network shows On Demand, which is decent. Shows like A Football Life, Hard Knocks etc.

Theres some website that claims the NFL season for 29.99 it's like out of The Netherlands I believe but they claim 1080 hd all games looks a little shady.
Theyve been advertising on nfl.com on message threads frequently.

I bought mine on ebay with kodi loaded, all apps, and it was only like 10 bucks more than the firestick itself. Worth it to me.
Might have to do this. I received an Apple TV for Christmas, and still haven't connected it to my TV yet (I have a Chromecast). I understand you can load Kodi onto Apple TV, but the instructions to do so are above my tech knowledge. May have to try it anyway considering I might be able to stream Pat's games. If I can't figure it out, may just get a Fire stick preloaded with Kodi on Ebay like you did.

It's complicated. I had to install some DOS app to sideload Kodi and another app to the Firestick over WiFi. As long as nothing goes wrong, it is merely complicated. If there are issues you are on your own.

It ran like crap after all the configuration. I ended up restoring the Firestick to default factory settings.

I wouldn't try it alone unless you are patient, have time, know how to open a port in Windows firewall, and have a technical aptitude.

How much does a service like that cost?

$70 for six months and they take pay pal. Crap, I was paying $120/month for basic cable and this gets me EVERY SINGLE SPORTING EVEN on the planet in at least 720, plus premium channels.

Do they have apps you can download for Kodi after paying?

There is an app for kodi, OR you can stream directly off website html.

I may regret saying this, but if anyone needs help setting up kodi feel free to send me a PM. We can facetime and have it from nothing to fully installed in 15 minutes.

My son is in college, so the best deal I can find is the Sunday Ticket student subscription for $99. Leaning toward that... I'm rather weary of the questionable internet sites... the streams are of meh quality... and you also get...

...a pop-up ad or two. o_O

Chrome + Adblock is your friend. Havent seen a pop up or banner ad in years

There was a hockey site like that a few years back called hockeystreams, or something like that, it was $19.99 a month I think. It also ran overseas, so not surprised about something running out of the Netherlands.

SportsDevil for the most part. And most of them were p2p streams but there were some that I had to download some weeks IIRC.

Those p2p streams are usually acestream links. So for anyone who doesn't want to set up the required extensions on Kodi, you can just go to NFL Live Streams • r/nflstreams and find the acestream link for a particular game, then copy & paste it into the ace player, which you can download here: Ace Player HD

Stupid question. Aren't streams on KODI illegal ?

Much of the streamed content is in violation of copyright laws, etc. I'm no expert on this, but I know it's either gray area or illegal.

Streaming out of market NFL games are almost assuredly illegal in the US.

Question for anybody: Is it enforceable? Are the cops going to bust in on me?

You will probably get a letter form our ISP to stop watching that content. Whether cops shows up after that is up to you :D

I believe the site you're referring to is the one I've used 2, now 3 consecutive seasons. You pay roughly $27 in bitcoin for perfect HD streams and the ability to rewatch games until the next summer.

Plus, with all the recent bitcoin inflation, my leftover $2 from last season turned into $20 to go toward this year. **** yeah.

Not posting anything here but anyone here, feel free to PM for info.

I really doubt they would ever even send a letter. If you were downloading and then seeding content, copyright owners may pressure your ISP contact you or obtain your contact info. Most content is simply a stream of data that it would be hard to trace back to a consumer of the data unless you share it from your location.

Some people use VPN to mask their identity. I so seldom actually stream anything that I don't bother.

Just to be clear, it's just about impossible to get caught streaming as long as it's nothing peer to peer like BitTorrent. It's very easy to get caught torrenting (this is almost always what ISPs send warnings about) because you also send the pirated data out to other computers. The piracy traffic is one way (to but not from your computer) with most standard streams, so there's no way to actually get any evidence of your wrongdoing.

Should have quoted you as well in my first post in this thread, but I think I've got more info on what you're talking about.
