Jets Suck -- 2017 Edition (Official): Countdown to Oblivion

Best of all, his horrid gaffe went unnoticed by the Jets fans in attendance. They probably felt he did a good job.

Belichick probably messed with the teleprompter.

You're saying the idiot needs a teleprompter to spell J-E-T-S? Regardless, BB is in Foxboro and could not care less about the Green Beans' draft woes.

OK. So, BB conspired with Russian computer hackers to alter moron Tony Richardson's teleprompter readout so he would misspell J-E-T-S on national television. That makes about as much sense as your Green Beans choosing safeties as their first two draft picks.

Well I was only joking, but if you say it makes as much sense as the dynamic duo of Adams/Maye roaming our secondary for years to come... then we really need to investigate Bill's Russian ties.

Yes, chances are your team's "dynamic" rookie safeties will see plenty of action zoom by after your DL quits again and AWOL Green Bean corners surrender catches at a record clip as Bowles grimaces and the crowd boos. They also will become quite familiar with the back of Rob Gronkowski's jersey. By mid-season they'll be suffering chronic whiplash, also secure in the knowledge their team sucks without an offense.

Well they're potentially gonna have a whole season of practice before meaningful games. Unless of course Hack proves to be really good.

Could happen, but remains to be seen obviously because he hasn't played yet.

So no rush. They can take their time learning the ropes.

I understand one can't be a Green Beans fan without somehow rationalizing the futility, but your strange conception of what constitutes "meaningful games" brings that to a whole new level.

It is quite simple Tune. 5 of the Patriots' 6 divisional games come in the last 6 weeks. Buffalo and Miami twice each in a 5 game span. @steelers in the middle, and jets @home for week 17.

All 5 of those games will most likely have wild card/seeding rights on the line at kick off.

That is all you have to hope for if you are the JEST/Bills/Phins.

The JEST superbowl is in NJ, week 6. This is the only divisional opponent game the patriots have (excluding the @steelers...) outside of the last 6 games of the season.

Listen, I know it feels good to think you (or your team) is the center of attention, but no. Week 6 is not the Jets superbowl this year.

Granted, a division game vs a team that is playing well is usually a bigger game than most. But your team also needs to be playing well too for the game to be really meaningful.

Big surprise here... the Jets probably won't be very good this season. Unless of course Hack surprises and the D plays lights out.

Week 17 most likely will be the bigger game. The fact it's vs the Pats means nothing. More importantly, it'll be the game that determines draft seeding.

Though I will enjoy seeing how the young D does vs Brady. For a while at least until the D gets tired from being on the field too much.

I'm going to guess Brissett is starting that game. Unfortunately the Jets probably still end up with the 1st overall pick, as the Pats probably win with their third-string QB.

I swear to God, if the 1st pick is on the line and the Jets screw it up because they want to stop a Pat's perfect season, or for pride, or whateverTF reason they can think of...

That could cause me to give up being a fan.

Year 8 of your vaunted "3 year plan!!!" and you're blabbing about 'future greatness!!! " years down the road? ....and on top of that moronic take, you insult all Pats fans on a Pats fanboard with"you all think you're the center of attention!!"....WTF should we be thinking is great? YOUR shytstink, hapless sad sack , approaching a half century of total SUCK franchise? See a ****in shrink...ASAP....oh yeah, and GO J-E-T-E....idiot

So based on how the draft has gone so far would you rather have McCagnan or me running your draft? I'd have traded back at every opportunity. Probably wound up with Howard and two of three of Mixon, Dalvin Cook, and Jake Butt and extra picks along with whatever best players available there were.

After giving this some thought, here's what I'd do if I were McCagnan.

The moment after the Browns pick Garrett, call the Browns and say that unless they trade you the #11 overall pick and a 2018 2nd round pick, you'll take Trubisky at #6. You're perhaps the only team that can make this threat credibly. If they bite, take it. If another team comes around to trade up, cash in.

If not, take OJ Howard. Helps the running game and the passing game, is a safe contributor.

Also, take Joe Mixon in the 2nd as your fanbase is debased and so hungry for wins they won't care that he's probably a monster. Take Jake Butt since you actually don't want to win too much this year. If a good player gets his dirty laundry dumped on draft day like Laremy Tunsil last year, be the team to get him at a discount. You can be the team to take that risk, since your name is mud anyway and can take the risk that it actually blows up.

Yup, any "me" would have run a better draft than McCags.
