If it's Sherman or Butler, it's a no brainer. I would, personally, rather have all three: Gilmore, Sherman, and Butler. It would only be for one year, but still...

Question for you Kontra: Are there guys that Sherman have a problem covering that Butler can and vice versa? and Wouldn't the Pats be giving up that flexibility with Sherman and Gillmore (I assume Gillmore is a Sherman 2.0 type)?

Did you just say he isn't gifted? The guy's very athletic. Go look at his combine numbers. He's small but so are guys like desean jackson and a guy like brandin cooks.

I left out the word 'not' before 'that he isn't gifted.' :)

Butler can play well inside, Sherman has shown that he can not. Sherman would take a spot away from Gilmore/Rowe while Butler would deal with the inside. It will not happen, as it makes zero sense to add another outside corner especially if Butler is staying.

It certainly showed on their pick. I wonder if they wanna take it back?

From what I've seen, Butler is better at covering more twitchy WR's that are quick in and out of their breaks while Sherman is better at covering long, lanky striders. That's why I want to see the three of them on the same team. Butler would be an absolute shutdown nickel corner.

So wouldn't you rather have Gillmore Butler McCourty etc... Than Gillmore Sherman McCourty etc..?

Well, I'd rather have Gilmore, Sherman, Butler, McCourty but if I had to choose between Sherman and Butler, I'd choose Sherman and hope that the team is right that Cyrus the Virus will improve as a nickel corner.

I just saw it. "When has Casserly ever been right?"

"Who's been wrong more than Charley Casserly since he left the Redskins?" Belichick said. "His percentage is like a meteorologist. He has no relationship to this team. I'd say less than zero. Based on what? He's never at a practice, never at a game. At least he put his name on it (the report), which is more than a lot of guys. But, like he usually is, he was 100 percent wrong."

The whole quote is awesome.

Apparently the Jets want Davis Webb. Please make it so. Also, Sheldon Richardson and Calvin Pryor are on the block.

Pryor was my binky a couple of years ago. He has not fully panned out thus far, though.

DerekRivers is reallly intriguing
