Lol pathetic shot at Patriots by NFL

Ratings are down.
The Steelers and Patriots own 11 of the 51 Lombardi's ever handed out.
Of course they're hyping the game.
Any story line will do.
Nothing to see here.

Didn't he come into the game with a pre-existing [but undisclosed] groin injury? His performance early in the game probably influenced the decision to sit him and avoid doing long term damage.
Right, so the NFL is clearly acknowledging the undisclosed injury, but doing nothing. "Would the Steelers have been able to top the Patriots [without Bell's undisclosed injury]?"

The only way the Steelers win and Bell carries for significant yardage is if the Patriots have the division and home field advantage for the playoffs locked up, and therefore play the backups.

It's going to be funny when the Patriots are 11-2 and playing a 7-6 Steelers team facing huge playoff odds. Am I the only one whose noticed a steep regression in Roethlisberger's play? Guys with his style of play and body type are not bouncing back.

I thought Roethlisberger looked like a different player last season. He's had a really good career but I get the feeling he doesn't work hard, period, offseason or in. Beyond that Brady is completely in his head, I don't think he believes they can beat the Patriots, and if your Quarterbacks head is there then you're completely screwed. I think he's a year from hanging it up.

I don't see a problem with hyping the matchup. If I'd been the one setting up the matchup, though, I'd have focused on the Steelers getting Bryant back, though. Having Bryant back is, or at least could should be, a significant upgrade for that Steelers offense.

**** it. 5 Lombardi's.

thread.

I cannot believe how sensitive some of the posters are this board are. It truly baffles me that some of you see these things as "shots". It legitimately boils on clinical paranoia.

NFL.com: "Opinion: Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all-time."

PatsFans.com reaction: "Wow, I cannot believe the nerve of NFL.com. They just ran an article saying that Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all-time. I can't believe they would have the audacity to call him the best quarterback of all-time and not the best player of all-time. Oh well, this is bulletin board material. Haters gonna hate. This is only fuel for Brady and the rest of the team. Haha."

It's not necessarily a shot but, it's still a stupid preview. Could have easily been two of the best quarterbacks in the AFC with seven rings between them go at it in an AFC title game rematch.

LOL...Unless Bell was going to cover Hogan, it wouldn't have mattered.

From a marketing standpoint, it must be hard to get Steelers fans excited for another butt kicking. This is just an example they they missed the mark and/or tried too hard.

Not a shoty just trying to build hype is all. Would a healthy Bell benefit the Steelers? of course. Would it make the Steelers the favorite vs the Pats? Nope.

It would change almost nothing actually.

As long as they run their zone blitz D and as long as Brady is still on his game they won't beat the Pats. At this point if a D shows Brady the same D over and over and fails to get massive pressure on him while doing it then the Pats are pretty much unbeatable.

The NFL is trying to sell their games to the public. What are they supposed to say?

"What if Bell had been healthy for the AFC Championship? Would they have beaten New England? Probably not, and they'll probably lose in Week 15, but please tune in anyway!"

Id love it if it were announced like you put it. Maybe they should say it in cosellian lingo.

Can the pathetic and lordly sloppy, poorly coached students of misjudgment find a way not to win per se but to at least find a way to keep from spreading their efulgence. Oh look jake, the crowd swells with an. Tisss i pa shun. Lmao

Not that I would encourage anything like this, but it amazes me that with all of the technical capability resident in the Greater Boston area, no one has hacked any of these NFL sites and done something like this.

"What if Bell had been healthy for the AFC Championship? Would they have beaten New England? Probably not, and they'll probably lose in Week 15, but please tune in anyway!"

"Or will Tom Brady continue his utter dominance of the Steelers"

"If Bell was healthy, and for some reason the Patriots decided to play Julian Edelman at linebacker, could the Steelers have beat the Pats?"

"come watch the Steelers get their skulls stomped in yet again, in the latest of a long line of suspenseless games whose outcomes were never in doubt"

It's sort of weird that the NFL has to promote a Steelers' game in December. That game will probably be a key determinant of playoff seeding depending upon what the Dolphins, Ravens and Bengals are doing. Maybe they think the Steelers' will be eliminated by then, which would be fine with me.

Bell has played 3 games against the Patriots.
2013 - 16 rushes - 74 yards - 0 TD
2016 - 21 rushes - 81 yards - 0 TD
6 rushes- 20 yards - 0 - TD

So, I don't get why he thinks that "if he'd been healthy" he'd have done something in the play-offs.. He's not done anything against the Patriots.

Lol c'mon man.
"Get his shot..."

Now I'm thinking Le'Veon is going to be suspended for gun charges.

Or reefer. Again. Yup.
