Weird that we play the Dolphins twice in three weeks, and Dolphins and Bills four times in five weeks.

Not sure, white on white for one game would be cool though hope we get it. Our white on blue is best road uniform in the league but why not do all white for a game?
I agree. I always feel some movement whenever we wear the white and blue. Even more so when we wore them in the last two Super Bowls

Some good and bad in this schedule.

1. The bye week is the first thing I look at every year when the schedule comes out. Having it in week 9 is a good thing about this schedule.

2. I don't EVER remember have to play 5 of 6 games on the road before including 2 in a row in altitude.

3. That got me me wondering if the Pats might be better off staying out in Denver for the week following the game. It would be a shorter trip to Mexico City and they'd be able to practice for a full week at altitude and actually have a slight advantage on the Raiders.

4. LAC got me too. My first thought "the Clippers????"

5. 7 games against playoff teams from last season plus 2 more against 2015 Superbowl teams. I'm not sure how that got to be on someone's "easiest schedule" list

Be Ok if they could go with the white helmet. Which I thought they voted on that too.

Pats @ Saints is a 1:00 pm game ?

Am also surprised the Texans game is a 1pm game. I know that they have no QB but after how the media erroneously had a circejerk over how "close" the Texans played us in the playoffs I'd think that it would be at least a 4pm game.

Think the Raiders have to go early to Mexico the same way that the home team needs to be early in London. So not sure if that really would be a huge advantage.

Also -- and I wrote it before -- I honestly wonder if one week really is enough to acclimate yourself to high elevation and not something that would affect practice before the Raiders game a bit too much. Maybe someone who knows about training in altitude can chime in here.

Clippers concern me, we have nobody to cover Blake. Bill blew it.

If a variety of sources are to be believed, this will be the 2017 schedule:

Week 1, Thursday September 7: home vs Kansas City Chiefs
Week 2, Sunday September 17: at New Orleans Saints
Week 3, Sunday September 24: home vs Houston Texans
Week 4, Sunday October 1: home vs Carolina Panthers
Week 5, Thursday October 5: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 6, Sunday October 15: at New York Jets
Week 7, Sunday October 22: home vs Atlanta Falcons (SNF)
Week 8, Sunday October 29: home vs Los Angeles Chargers
Week 9: bye
Week 10, Sunday November 12: at Denver Broncos (SNF)
Week 11, Sunday November 19: at Las Vegas Raiders (Mexico City)
Week 12, Sunday November 26: home vs Miami Dolphins
Week 13, Sunday December 3: at Buffalo Bills
Week 14, Monday December 11: at Miami Dolphins (MNF)
Week 15, Sunday December 17: at Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 16, Sunday December 24: home vs Buffalo Bills
Week 17, Sunday December 31: home vs New York Jets

Any stretch of three consecutive road games is brutal and schedule makers should really avoid them if at all possible. This one is particularly egregious because the third road game (a) comes after a short week, (b) is also the fifth road game in 36 days, and (c) is against the next best team in the conference.

The Week 10 and 11 games are poorly planned as well. Often on a long trip such as that the team would stay out west, but spending a week in Mexico may be ill advised, wanting to avoid Montezuma's Revenge. That means a long late flight out of Denver, then another long flight a few days later to Mexico City. No bueno.

Thanks so much 345 Park Avenue, I see you are up to your old tricks once again.

While I'm pissed at some of the logistics the league as forced on the Pats this season (what a shock), the bye week is a good one and there doesn't seem to be a Thursday night game (which I thought every team got).

Question: Does anyone else have to play 5 games in six weeks on the road?

Pats have some big OL men who should be more than capable

I thought the TB game was a Thursday night

If this has shown us anything, it's that schedules mean nothing. I think we're still a 14-2 team, 12-4 at worst.

As far as rest days between games go this schedule is pretty mild compared to the schedule this team faced in the 2015 season. I like having a bye week in the middle of the season ( week 4 byes suck) and like having the bye before the Denver and Raiders games. Closing out the season with two home games is a plus.

Week 1 - Thursday night - Chiefs - Home
Week 2 - Sunday - Saints - Away - 10 Days rest
Week 3 - Sunday - Texans - Home - 7 Days
Week 4 - Sunday - Panthers - Home - 7 Days
Week 5 - Thursday - Tampa - Away - 4 Days + Travel
Week 6 - Sunday - Jets - Away - 10 Days
Week 7 - Sunday - Falcons - Home - 7 Days
Week 8 - Sunday - Chargers - Home - 7 Days
Week 9 - Bye
Week 10 - Sunday - Broncos - Away - 14 Days (Perfect time for a bye)
Week 11 - Sunday - Raiders - Away - 7 Days ( I like @luuked thoughts about two high altitude games in a row)
Week 12 - Sunday - Dolphins - Home - 7 Days
Week 13 - Sunday - Bills - Away - 7 Days
Week 14 - Monday - Dolphins - Away - 8 Days
Week 15 - Sunday - Pittsburgh - Away - 6 Days
Week 16 - Sunday - Bills - Home - 7 Days
Week 17 - Sunday - Jets - Home - 7 Days

Week 5 at Tampa (plus the home opener). They want every team to have to play on Thursday once. Since there are seventeen weeks that makes 34 teams, so I'm guessing the two teams that play on Thursday in week one have to play another Thursday night game later.

Question: Does anyone else have to play 5 games in six weeks on the road?
It is rare, but does happen. Teams typically don't fare too well.

So Brady should set the regular season wins total at home against the Panthers. Yes.

Uggh.

Based on a recent thread there were a lot of Pats fans planning to come to this game. If it is on a Thursday night that becomes a lot more difficult for those not living within the immediate vicinity, and makes pregame meet-ups and tailgating more difficult to plan and pull off.

Absolute worst case possible. The 1 week I can't get off work during the week from August to Thanksgiving. A friend and I had planned on going to this game and the schedule ****s it all up. Really can't see how I can make it now.

NFL Network would be better off showing a replay of the last Super Bowl rather than proceeding with tonight's show about the release of the schedule. What's the point if everybody knows hours ahead of time? More intrigue and suspense re-watching the SB.

Just looked it up out of curiosity.

How Long Does It Take to Acclimate to Elevation When Running a Race?

This will have a negative impact on your endurance running performance until your body adjusts to the elevation. It takes your body about three to six weeks to fully acclimate to high altitude. However, your endurance race times at high altitude will never be as fast as they would be at sea-level.
