Does this put the BYE onto W12 ?

Is there a reason the bye would be after the Mexico game ? It's not exactly the other side of the world.

I have no idea and am wondering it myself. I think the Texans didn't have a BYE last year after their Mexico game.

Boston to LA 6.5 hours, same as Boston to Mexico City.

Extremely doubtful that the Pats would get a bye in Week 12.

  1. Due to Thanksgiving there are already fewer teams available to fill their inventory of available games in time slots on the following Sunday and Monday.
  2. November is a ratings sweeps month for the networks. They would prefer the defending Superbowl champions be available for games every week of that month.

Sounds like November for fans of other teams will be a hate filled month.......assuming Pats play all 4 weeks

For the Patriots, a Week 12 bye is mid season.....

Personally I like it week 8 or 9 cause no point getting it any later. You assume they will get a first round bye so you don't want them to be too close honestly.

Typically, visitors to friendly Mexico need 10-14 days to recuperate from intestinal trauma....not to mention the psychological trauma

So no thanksgiving night prime time game....thankfulky;)

League plot. Make sure they all take their papers.

i remember being in Cancun and while having a drink, chewed on an ice cube. Yikes!!

I don't like this because of the following:

Security
Being exposed to food that may not be prepared the same like in the states.
Diseases
The trip will be long too...

I am tired of the NFL extending games to other countries, yes that includes the U.K. Too.

This is not the world football league, it's the damn national football league!

Agreed

not sure why the NFL is pushing games in the third world

Londonistan is bad enough.

Because security at NFL events in general is so great that teenagers can just break into the Superbowl venue despite a perimeter or alleged reporters can walk into locker rooms, take stuff and just walk out again.

Most professional teams travel to longer away games with their own cooking staff. Teams even bring their own ****ing toilet paper abroad. Mexico is not farther away than going on ****ing west coast trips. Maybe we should cancel those too, right ?

I am not even gonna dignify the diseases part with an answer. What a bunch of ignorant ****.

Living in a country where you can't drink tap water, have bridges and roads constantly collapsing and millions of people living on the verge of poverty I'd be kinda careful calling other places third world.

Maybe it's time to stop calling SB winners World Champions then. Not that the rest of the world cares much anyway.

They're world champions in the relevant world

And the stuff you mentioned happens in Detroit. Which is basically north Mexico. Feel free to classify it as the third world
