Are these your unwritten rules or are they written up somewhere formally?

No one said anything about rules, kiddo. That's YOUR own mind cooking that up.

This is a forum. There are all kinds of folks here. Those who have the decency to state why they hit a Dislike button, and gutless kids like you who ring doorbells and run away.

No rules, though, and no one is stopping you from your trick or treating.

I am not belittling his performance which was great. I am belittling the suggestion that he is/was our best WR in the playoffs after the monster postseasons Hogan and Edelman had. Also the suggestion by some that we pay him the $6 million.

You know what else was clutch about the 2 point play. Hogan and Edelman were left outside to make do or die blocks. Miss them and the play blows up. They didn't.

Let me post the exact quote that you wrote before:

This is where people lose touch with reality. You do realize DA is operating vs the #3 CB usually. If he was up against the #1 CB like JE (or being doubled), there would not be so much Amendola love.

That doesn't sound compatible with "his performance was great" which triggered my response.

The point is not to emphasize some over others because everyone played a key role in the last 2 SB runs. But just because Dola comes on on third down and gets less attention than other players it doesn't mean that his accomplishments are worth less.

Even with this move, I don't see him as a lock necessarily. He has his limitations and with a crowded group a rookie could potentially push him to the shadow roster.

To my knowledge, BB has never cut a veteran who has taken a paycut to stay with the team prior to the start of the season.. Yes, he did cut Haynesworth, but that was during the season after he proved to be a flop..

Yeah my fault for not stating the obvious. I took for granted that someone with a mind as bright as yours could have figured that out. Sorry son, I'll make sure that the obvious is obvious next time.

The fact that you gave a dislike for Shmessy asking a simple question of another poster is hilarious. The fact you couldn't be bothered to answer the question yourself only lends credence to the idea that you only did it for some attention, you're an ass or both. Then for you to have the audacity to throw your tantrum because you got called out as well shows the kind of person you are..

It's your fault for being an ass with your responses. It's your fault for not having the temerity to answer the question yourself so others could respond. You then make back-handed comments about Shmessy's intelligence, but the reality is that Shmessy has more intelligence in the skin he loses on a daily basis than you've proven to have so far.

BTW, it the reasons were so obvious, why didn't you post them instead of making your snide remarks???

I've always liked and respected Shmessy....even though he can't stand the fact that I'm robbing bandwidth on this board for decades with obsequious fawning posts like this...

Det from Reiss:

  • Amendola receives $100,000 in the form of a signing bonus.

  • His base salary of $1.25 million in fully guaranteed.

  • He has a $50,000 workout bonus.

  • A total of $300,000 in per-game roster bonuses can be earned ($18,750 per game).

  • His maximum compensation in 2017 is $1.7 million.

  • His new cap number is $3.041 million, down from the $7.791 million it would have been in his original contract.

With his clutch playoff performance, the guy deserves another year

WR roster cut downs will be interesting to see, if/when anyone flashes a lot of potential during training camp.

Cooks
Edelman
Mitchell
Hogan
Amendola
Slater

The # of WR on the final roster has been 6 each of the last 3 seasons. There are 6 guys listed above - any cuts likely? Who's your first cut?

Barring injury, we are all set with these 4-5 WR's and the 2 STer's. Amendola is our PR as well as our #5 WR. One of these players might be inactive, but none will be cut.

I agree with you, which is why I think it'll be very interesting to see what the team does if they get a WR in camp who plays well enough to earn a roster spot.

Another possibility - what do they do during cutdowns if one of their highest rated WR falls to a point where the value is too good for them not to act. Basically just the same question as above.

Therefore, are we looking at a more likely "redshirt" season on IR for 2017/18 for the unknown potential-filled pre-season WR, or are we looking at one of the guys above being cut?

We are NOT looking at any of these players being cut. If someone isn't performing in camp, they will simply get fewer reps.

No walk-on will have an opportunity to convince the team that they are better than the top four WR's.

Apparently went skateboarding to celebrate.
