I am not belittling his performance which was great. I am belittling the suggestion that he is/was our best WR in the playoffs after the monster postseasons Hogan and Edelman had. Also the suggestion by some that we pay him the $6 million.
You know what else was clutch about the 2 point play. Hogan and Edelman were left outside to make do or die blocks. Miss them and the play blows up. They didn't.
This is where people lose touch with reality. You do realize DA is operating vs the #3 CB usually. If he was up against the #1 CB like JE (or being doubled), there would not be so much Amendola love.
Even with this move, I don't see him as a lock necessarily. He has his limitations and with a crowded group a rookie could potentially push him to the shadow roster.
No one said anything about rules, kiddo. That's YOUR own mind cooking that up.
This is a forum. There are all kinds of folks here. Those who have the decency to state why they hit a Dislike button, and gutless kids like you who ring doorbells and run away.
No rules, though, and no one is stopping you from your trick or treating.
.
Yeah my fault for not stating the obvious. I took for granted that someone with a mind as bright as yours could have figured that out. Sorry son, I'll make sure that the obvious is obvious next time.
WR roster cut downs will be interesting to see, if/when anyone flashes a lot of potential during training camp.
Cooks
Edelman
Mitchell
Hogan
Amendola
Slater
The # of WR on the final roster has been 6 each of the last 3 seasons. There are 6 guys listed above - any cuts likely? Who's your first cut?
Barring injury, we are all set with these 4-5 WR's and the 2 STer's. Amendola is our PR as well as our #5 WR. One of these players might be inactive, but none will be cut.
I agree with you, which is why I think it'll be very interesting to see what the team does if they get a WR in camp who plays well enough to earn a roster spot.
Another possibility - what do they do during cutdowns if one of their highest rated WR falls to a point where the value is too good for them not to act. Basically just the same question as above.
Therefore, are we looking at a more likely "redshirt" season on IR for 2017/18 for the unknown potential-filled pre-season WR, or are we looking at one of the guys above being cut?
