That poor deer.:(

I totalled a Toyota truck in December when a deer ran into me on the highway, amazingly the deer had enough adrenaline to make it into the woods before dropping dead. A couple seconds earlier and he might have gone through my windshield.

The buck stops here....forever. RIP.

The falcons should study the film on that one.

Thank God it wasn't Sasquatch. Would have totaled the car, the Lombardi, everything....

Those deer run just like their human counterparts drive...

They're Mainiacs ;)

Come on, we all know that Bambi was a J E T S fan wanted to put himself/herself out of their misery of watching their team this year.... and it was the closet they would ever get to a Lombardi trophy...

Biggest story from Maine in my lifetime.;)

It used to be that, depending on the damage the deer sustained, and how fast the Wardens could get there, that they would dress it and take it to a local butcher who would parcel it and the wardens then would take it to the nearest food bank or soup kitchen.

A few times, members of the Warden service or State Police would take the hide to be cured and then have it, and sometimes the antlers, part of the annual auction to support their programs.

I don't know if this is still done today, but it ought to be.

Would have been a better story if the accident involved a moose - deer is too common. They are like ants down here in CT. Everywhere.

There are some places here in South Carolina I volunteer to take the Lombardi to, and I won't hit any deer.

Ugh was totally going to go to this if we didn't have drill. They did a poor job promoting this event, should have made them bring the trophy to us.
