Seahawks reportedly open to trading Sherman...

Seattle would carry over no starting corners from 2016 if Sherman is traded, as Deshawn Shead is a free agent.

The Seahawks would be left with Jeremy Lane, who missed most of 2016 after suffering a broken arm and torn ACL in the Super Bowl against the Pats. None of the other corners on their roster are of starting caliber. They signed Perrish Cox but he was bad enough to be cut mid-season by Tennessee.

I seriously doubt Pete Carroll will trade Sherman, regardless of the comments bordering on insubordination.

edit: Seattle has now re-signed Shead (3/17)

Show him the video where we RUN IT on the goaline at the end of a Super Bowl. :D
:D

Actually we threw it on the penultimate play on the goal line and almost got picked off.

Didn't Lombardi mention this as an alternative for the saints instead of butler? I didn't hear him but reporters on twitter make it sound like Lombardi thinks the saints would be better served going in that direction and Malcolm would stay for the tender. I think there is 0 chance pats would be in as a destination for Sherman.

Or we get Sherman and Butler and have a 3 headed monster of a secondary :D

If this is true, some team theoretically could have Sherman and Revis at corners this season.

Gotta love this fan base.

Who would you want after rolling around in the sack with Melissa McCarthy?
She's actually trying to get out of the fat chick jokes business. Warning: boring music.

Why? They have him long term on a reasonable deal. It makes no sense.
It doesn't make sense with the information we know. Maybe he's developed some personality issues -- more than those already apparent -- and has the Seahawks wanting to move in a new direction.

I'd love to see him here, though I know that is a pipe dream.

He's a flaming jackass. I don't care what he'd add to the team. There's no way I could bring myself to root for him. It was hard enough to root for that flamer Bennett.

Although I certainly appreciate why you feel like that, I personally think he's a pretty smart guy. I have the impression that the way he acts sometimes and some of his comments are actually just him trying to sell this persona because he believes he can benefit from it. I'll never forget the way he complimented Brady on the field after SB XLIX, it seemed really genuine. I do admire him as a player and take his sometimes obnoxious behavior with a grain of salt.

Laughing at everyone actually thinking there is a chance we would be interested... lol

another example of how a casual comment that SPECULATED Sherman was a better target for the Saints than Butler, was tranlated into "Sherman on the trade block" by click baiters, and thus became another butler related thread (once removed).

Meant they allow players to say whatever they want to whoever they want...even coaches. Being open and honest is good but there needs to be a chain of command and it's cracking in Seattle.
Lol thanks, I understood.. Was just messing around

Checking the Over The Cap page (Richard Sherman Contract Details, Salary Cap Charges, Bonus Money | Over The Cap), you can almost see the justification for a trade. Although there are two years left, the second year, with it's $11,000,000 cap hit, makes him a prime candidate to be cut, particularly if he continues to openly question the coaches. Trading him a year early probably nets the Seahawks a better deal. If they try to trade him next year, he's a one year rental and we all know how that affects the player's trade value. :)

I think you just sparked an alt-right/SJW battle royale greater than the brouhaha we get when the Pats and Seahawks play.
Open borders! Obamacare! Cats and dogs living together! Anarchy!

Wow she's lost a lot of weight. Good for her. Much healthier
