RB Domino Falls: Eddie Lacy signs with Seahawks

THe price of Legarritte Blount just went up.

Their ground game won't get any better until they improve the line. RB talent wasn't the issue last year; I think they were just spoiled for years by having the one weird, unique RB with a bizarre running style who could make it work behind a crap line. Would be better off investing in the line and using JAG RBs IMO.

You mean like what the Pats have "gotten away with" for several years now?

Does this mean Rawls hasn't fully healed, and maybe isn't expected to heal?
IIRC, he put up a crap-tonne of yards against the Lions in this season's playoffs, didn't he?

However you might feel about our OL, it's miles better than Seattle's. Think about how bad our line was at the end of 2015 when everyone was hurt. Seattle's is that bad at full strength. They have one player (Justin Britt) who could start for us, in part because he's their best OL and in part because he happens to play the same position as our worst, but I'm not sure their other starters would even cut it as backups here.

I really like our OL, especially with Scar coaching it.

I was agreeing with the point that, with a quality OL, a team's ground game can be very effective with low-priced non-name's instead of high-ticket guys. It's what the Pt have been more-than-adequately demonstrating for several years now.

Agree about Britt, too. He was one of my binkys in 2014.

Has Seattle ever seen this guy and his 267 pounds play? This is an absurd contract for such a mediocre player.

Still no upgrade on a dismal offensive line. Luke Joeckel sucks.
My initial thought when reading this story was the Seahawks just plugged a hole in their offensive line by signing Lacy. Funny how the mind works. ;)

In approximate order of best potential value/most likely to sign with Patriots, here are the remaining free agent running backs. If the Pats elect to add another veteran RB it will most likely be a familiar face. There aren't many running backs out there with a chance of being on the roster in September.

  • LeGarrette Blount
  • Brandon Bolden
  • Stevan Ridley
  • Christine Michael
  • Latavius Murray
  • Adrian Peterson
  • James Starks
  • Jamaal Charles
  • Tim Hightower
  • Darren McFadden
  • DeAngelo Williams
  • Shaun Draughn
  • Chris Johnson
  • Bobby Rainey
  • Matt Asiata
  • Lance Dunbar
  • Travaris Cadet
  • Ronnie Hillman
  • Knile Davis
  • Toby Gerhart
  • Reggie Bush
  • Khiry Robinson
  • Jordan Todman
  • Justin Forsett
  • Kenjon Barber
  • Denard Robinson
  • Jonathan Grimes
  • DuJuan Harris
  • Zac Stacy
  • Stepfan Taylor
  • Chase Reynolds
  • Cedric Peerman
  • Rashad Jennings
  • Karlos Williams

Meh Eddie lacy sucks I thought this thread was going to be about the other RB, Domino Falls.

How on earth could the Seahawks give out that contract with all these guys available, Lacy's weight problems, and that starting running backs are now easily found in the later rounds of the draft, if not UDFA. Wow! Do they have any notion of supply and demand?

Eddie Lacy has been one of my favorite NFL RB's ... but he is a bit more than a bit past his prime.

Wait, what's all this? Eddie Lacy signed an endorsement deal with Domino's Pizza?
