Who is your favorite non patriots player of all time?

Jim Brown.

The specifics have faded in time, but I just remember him constantly flying past and running over defenders, and keep on going until it took nearly the entire opposing team to take him down.

Barry Sanders as a very close second.

Both players seemed to carry their entire team on their back, willing them to victory over their opponents.

Jim Brown beat women.

Trick question.
I have been told that "We are all Patriots."

But if that is just a load of crap, then I'll go with Randall Cunningham.

Derrick Brooks and Ed Reed.

OK, seriously...Honorable Mention:

Stump Mitchell
Billy "White Shoes" Johnson
Pat McInally
Buck Buchanan
Ray Nitschke
Jim Brown
Mike Curtis
Cliff Branch
Alex Karras
Joe Montana
Merlin Olsen

*WINNER: Steve Belichick
th
th
th

...his son coached with Colts, Lions, Broncos, Giants, Browns, Jets, and Flying Elvises

Including stints as head coach at Cleveland (five years), Foxboro (17 and counting)

and the shortest head coaching stint in NFL history, for the Jets - one day.

...the Jets cried foul, saying Bill Belichick was still under contract [translation: held hostage, enslaved]. Commissioner Paul "The Patriots Damaged The League" Tagliaboob (Shocker!!!) agreed, so the Patriots traded a 2000 first round draft pick to the Jets for him.

Ed Reed or Nnamdi Asomugha in his prime with Oakland.

Trick question.

It was classy and respectful at the trophy presentation last November, when Theo Epstein referred to Ernie Banks and Ron Santo, and all of the Cubs players and fans history.

Just as Bob Kraft honored Jim Nance, Darryl Stingley, Bob Dee, Jim Lee Hunt and all the Patriots' players, fans and history in accepting the trophy when they won in 2002.

...oh that's right he didn't.

He was waiting around 33 years for them to win a title and complaining about the owner, while the rest of us watched the games and rooted for the team.

Ronnie Lott

(I started watching the game in the 80s and I always liked safeties and tight ends the most -- still do.)

Hon. mentions:

Troy Polamalu

Dan Fouts

I don't recall those details so I will defer to you. I didn't not want to turn this to a Kraft bashing, but I don't particularly like him.
I love my Coaches, QB, and supporting cast.

Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Randy Moss (not a Patriot for the majority of his career)

Oh, and Hightower should be ultimately decide to leave... though I obviously hope not

i always liked in the past RB...
so...: Barry Sanders, Eric ****erson, Earl Campbell, Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett...
