2017 NFL Combine Thread

Wish there was a "wow" button.

Kid has Welker/Edelman traits. Sign me up.

Chances McCaffrey is there at 32 are getting slimmer and slimmer. Top 20 pick I'd think

McDermott certainly ticks the right boxes numbers wise. VJ is a little off but not by much. Bolles and Dawkins seem to have won the day. Need to watch Dawkins. Anyone?

Mcdermott has striking similar numbers to solder. Big guy that can move.

One of my favorite sleepers. Incredible weigh in numbers. Watching him closely.

Jerry Ugokwe:
6'7'', 321 lbs, 35 3/8" arm, 10/8" hand
Played 7 games at LT as a red-shirt freshman. Finished with 35 started at RT..

Interesting.. He's out of William and Mary.. Don't the Pats have a coach who went to school there?

Could be another 5th round swing tackle from a smaller school..

Bucky Hodges whole thing was being this massive passing target.

He's now average size for a TE in this class. Should've come out last year.

Coming out when your not ready doesn't help you if you're cut after one year..

Wow Pumphrey looked quicker than anyone ive seen so far. Only 5 8 too bad

What aboutt the numbers for the two smallest of the top TEs, Evan Ingram and Gerald Everett?

Well, if by "small" you mean weighing the least, then Engram and Everett are your guys.. If by height, you mean smallest, you had 3 other TEs who also came in at an even 6'3 0/8.

Engram - 6'3 0/8 - 234 lbs - 33 1/2 Arms - 10" hands
Everett - 6'3 0/8 - 239 lbs- 33" Arms - 8 1/2" hands

I have bigger hands (9 1/4) than Everett and I'm 5'9..

Nah. It's helpful to hold your fingers up 3/8 of an inch apart, and ask if that's going to make the difference between success and failure over his career. Numbers are just one tool; they're not all that important on their own, unless they're massive outliers.

Hand size isn't as big of an issue for Olinemen as it is for people expected to catch the ball for a living..

Unfortunately, his workout numbers were historically bad. I don't put too much stock into numbers, unless they're really really awful. Well, his numbers qualify. :(

Saw that too which means Great Catch Radius. I am into Big Hands and long Wing span ie...Gorilla arms and Mikey Mouse Hands.:D

Michael Roberts has the biggest hands of the TEs at 11 1/2"

If bucky hodges runs a 4.7 flat or anything under that i don't think it will matter when he came out. Adam shaheen was very heavy with the weight. I will be surprise if he runs a good 40.

The only number I see of his that is "good" is the broad jump at 103. The Bench is MEH in my opinion.. He did more than 15..

That being said, yeah. His numbers aren't great.. However, we both know that the Pats put a lot into what they see vs. what the "numbers" say.. He's definitely not a 1st round pick. He'll be a late round/UDFA more than likely.. If the Pats take a flyer on him, great.. if not. No biggie..

From what I hear, maybe expect to be surprised. I've heard in the 4.7s but that he's hoping to get under 4.7. Gronk was 4.68.

I like leggett from clemson. Perfect size. If he can have a good 40 time he can sneak into round 1

Shaheen? I saw a video clip where he left a corner in the dust and outran him. Again i don't the level of competition but he could be a freak of nature. We will see.

30" plus vertical jumps for the OL is one of the important benchmarks I look for in the combine from a Patriots perspective. Not many this year.

Usually the 30" vertical is the benchmark for a 1st round O-lineman. Isn't that what BOR figured?

McC remains a very enticing luxury.. would love to have it, but won't make or break the season relative to other open spots we have..

He's Danny Woodhead.

I get it! But the Broncos needs scream OL
HE's sooo Pats but ughhhh we have needs in other areas
to be fair, they also have a huge need at RB/ Slot WR/ Returner. All of which Mccaff could do. But i think he gets drafted before Broncos pick at 20.
