Bob Kraft on the 'haters'

Most Patsfans like Kraft. No ones perfect and look at his track record since buying the team.

So he disappointed you...get over it

This.. holy **** this. Krafts leadership and business approach has led to 8 New England Super bowl appearances. His team now holds the record for most Super Bowl appearances.

On the biggest stage of the year after the Super Bowl he took some shots at the league. And then took some more shots at the league. I could go on..

Are Rog and Robert sharing the same pocket? You decide:

Destroyed tapes: (Is it even allowed to destroy documents (tapes) without compliance from the other owners?) I guess it is, considering the "memo" went out when? Was there owners approval for that?

Tampering? Before Deflate Gate? You don't say!

We know the rest.

The only blame I put on old Robert is the fact that he didn't support his own. If he can explain to us Pats fans why it was more important to carry on with the league throughout the Brady Revenge Tour, than I'm willing to listen.

Otherwise, it's a shameful disgrace to jump back on the Pats bandwagon after we won. What if we lost? Would Robert be so outspoken?

You don't have to be "gullible" to give someone, who has done great things for a New England institution, a second chance when he admits he erred. You do have to be vigilant though..."trust but verify."

You are like the battered wife, RK says I'm sorry, then goes and hugs Fraudger.(over and over again) He could be making a big deal about the 4th rndr right now and saying, THERE IS STILL TIME TO DO THE RIGHT THING! But, I hear crickets. . .

Maybe he is playing everyone and secretly working 23 other owners to get the votes to fire clownface, BUT I DONT BELIEVE IT.

If come next owners meeting they hold a vote or at least an argument about firing his azz, I' d give RK an apology. But til then, I think only hope is JK to take over reins and do something or more realistically a meteorite to come down on nyjfl offices while Gotohell is in the building.

For most rational Patriots fans - if they didn't have their eyes open to the reality of the NFL ownership cabal before the Deflategate fiasco - they shouldn't definitely have woken up shortly after.

BoB Kraft's No.1 priority is, and always has been, the group of 32. Its all NFL - all day.

Once you accept that, it all makes sense and you don't have to be quite so angry.

Brady is enough of a pragmatist to know this.

Goodell is a sock puppet for a group of rick, greedy men who use him as a convenient and well paid meat shield.

It's certainly worth the money the pay him to take all that flak.

My heart is with guys like Brady, Belichick and Edelman - guys like Kraft are almost a different species.

More fnord straw man crap.

I'd enjoy discussion/debate with you so much more if you could tone down the attitude, dude. I tend to learn a lot from discussions with you but a lot of the time it involves having to filter out how you come across. Which is a shame because it definitely erodes my desire to engage with you.

Done the internal appeal (doomed though it may have been) so people couldn't say "he knew it happened -- he didn't even appeal."Not made that ridiculous "we accept it" speech.

Already addressed by Bob himself, he thought that by going along with what the league said they'd go easy on Brady. You can choose to believe him on this or not but I have a hard time thinking that Brady and Belichick would still be here if he was lying.
Not constantly playing kissyface with Roger.
I said pretty much the same thing in my post. It's inexcusable but the Bendover Bob trope seems deeply rooted in more than just his indefensible comments about Roger.

Being way more supportive of Brady from the beginning. I still remember his ridiculous "Well, I hope those players who deserve to play will be playing" remark before the 2015 opener. The loser couldn't even mention Brady by name.

Pretty much the same answer here as the answer to point 1, you can either believe that Kraft wasn't crossing the league in hopes that they'd go easy on Brady or not. Again - Brady's actions would seem to me to indicate that you're way off here.

If Brady felt hung out to dry by this team he'd be gone not talking extension.

Going on a real PR offensive.

If the website and his PC weren't enough for you then you have unrealistic expectations. He went on national goddamn TV and said he was wrong to trust the league office. Did you want him to say Goodell sucks baby ****s? If saying the league was dishonest isn't enough for you I'm not sure anything would be.

Not kowtowing to the "here are the real PSI numbers but you can't tell anyone -- hahahaha" letter from the NFL.

C'mon. You're way too smart for this type of crap. You know that Bob Kraft doesn't sit in an office reading letters and then makes unilateral decisions, he's a businessman running a billion dollar product. There's no chance he didn't consult with his lawyers and then what else could they have done? What conceivable course of action should they have taken? Publish the results they were given that made them look bad? Or publish the results calling them lies and weaken the position he claims to have taken which is that by going along with the team punishment the league would be easier on Brady?

Even if you disregard the rest answer me these questions:

If Kraft is such a traitor then what about Brady? How can you defend Brady's actions and relationship with the Krafts if the Krafts weren't on his side as you contend? Because Brady wants to stay here and will likely take yet another team friendly deal to stay with his traitor owner. Does that sound like the Brady we've come to know through the years?

Because unless it does then it implies that everyone calling Bob a traitor is way off.

Brady loves football, he loves playing for a team that has Bill Belichick as coach.

Brady knows that Kraft will not take the side of (even his own) a player or coach when it comes to a battle with the NFL - for all intents and purposes, Kraft IS the NFL.

Brady has repeated a mantra recently - he won't 'give his power' to anyone.

He loves what he does and he's great at it. He has an extremely healthy attitude to life.

So he's going to play for an owner who betrayed him? That's not giving someone your power that's straight up weak. If my company bailed on me the way people contend Kraft did to Brady I'd be flipping burgers somewhere else within the week.

Kraft has been the best NFL owner for almost 20 years.

That's not an opinion, it's a fact. You may not agree, but you'd be wrong....end of story.

You can click "disagree", but that would just show how little you know.

Tom Brady agrees with me! Robert Kraft is the Best! :D

Kraft screwed up with the post Defamegate handling, but your statement above has to be one of the most ironic and ignorant and ironic comments I've seen on this website in a long time.......guy who joined the site a month after the previous SB win.

Dude - - He CONTINUES to play for a fraction of the Flacco/Ryan/Bradford, etc contracts (and just watch, the next extension will be just as friendly) He loves Bob Kraft like a father.

THINK for a moment - - - he and Gisele could have built a home ANYWHERE on the freakin' earth......and their NE home ANYWHERE within 40 miles of the stadium....so he builds his home NEXT DOOR to Kraft????????

THINK.

The pitch fork mob are so hysterically blind to what is right there in front of their faces.

Let's stop the lying, Pitch Fork Mob. You are not angry because Kraft stabbed Brady in the back. You are angry becuase you feel Kraft stabbed YOU in the back. Now, THAT I am not arguing - - I feel jilted by that too. But, for the love o' God, stop painting Brady as the jilted lover here. YOU AND I ARE.

Brady is right there in bed with Bobby and loving every minute of it.

In the words of Dikembe, 'You are welcome' - - you just had some reality dropped on you.

And, as a follow up, here's some more reality, kids. Brady is not like you or me either. He and Gisele are on a different plane in the universe also.

He's not your compadre. He is far closer to Kraft's universe than yours or mine. And he is enjoying every minute of it along with Kraft.

Get over it.

I'm just as pissed that he dropped the Defamegate appeal - - but he didn't let BRADY down. He let us down. So be honest and stop using Brady as your prop.

Forget the lawsuits I just wanted to hear him say in front of the national media "We strongly disagree with this decision, we stand by Tom, Bill and our employees and we believe and will continue to believe they did absolutely NOTHING wrong". Unfortunately for whatever reason, we heard something different than that.

Hopefully Kraft understands now that perception is everything. If his "good of the 32" statement two Mays ago validated the perception that this team is a bunch of cheaters then this team might as well really be a bunch of cheaters.

It's better than doing nothing but unfortunately that site is seen as a joke at worst and at best just red meat for people who have believed the Pats side of the story even without a site. I doubt it changed a lot of minds.

What might have changed minds is a strong statement with the cameras rolling. "We did absolutely NOTHING wrong" would have been much better than the meek "for the good of the 32" and "we will not appeal". If I didn't know any better and I saw that presser? Guilty.

Perception is reality.

To paraphrase a famous Patriot, "You have BINGO!"

Hey @wordsmyth, you hit the wrong button by mistake again....

Kraft is human and makes mistakes. I think he learns from them, which is what I care more about. I think he learned from the Parcells/Grier draft fiasco. I think he's learned more from deflatefarce than any other mistakes he has made as owner, especially as more info came to light over time on how much BS was given credibility. I can't see him giving into any future penalties so easily in the future.

What cracks me up is the unintended consequences of his mistakes working out spectacularly well for the Pats. The "buy the groceries" episode with Parcells set the wheels in motion for bringing on BB 3 years later. Brady's 4 game suspension gave Jimmy G a great audition and now there is talk about godfather offers for him. Oh, and the suspension comes in the same season Brady cemented his legacy as the GOAT with a super bowl for the ages. Maybe Kraft should keep making mistakes.

Regards,
Chris

Many say the last perfect human died over 2,0000 years ago

Mistakes in life are the springboards for those who LEARN from their mistakes.

Mistakes are IMPORTANT to experience.

Stephen Covey would have stated unequivocably that what separates winners from losers is not who makes mistakes - - but how one LEARNS from them.

Ya but....we have dopes holding onto their wittle angwy grudges and clicking on wittle x's!

You don't need to go on, you hit the nail on the head.

The only point I'd disagree with is that money doesn't put anyone on a different plane on a personal level. But if you're referring to the fact Kraft, Brady and other mega wealthy people live in a different world than us common folk, I agree.

And to be honest, if I ever won $300 million in the lottery, it would scare me. Not that I'd refuse the money, I'd just be afraid I'd become someone different
