Massarotti: UConn Women's Basketball Winning Streak Doesn't Count

Hard to see how his takedown of the UConn women passes as anything but "I hate women's sports" so I'm not even going to bother.

But the rest of the nation is subjected to Massarotti and Shaughnessy and Borges, and they must think people from around Boston are all deranged because of the dirty water.

I really hate the regional media. They never seem happy if they don't have a player, usually at least one on each team, that they delight in devouring alive for the sake of their "hot" takes. Whether it's in any way deserved or not.

Mazz doesn't make the region look like an idiot. He's a genius! He gets people to keep listening to him, tuning into his show, therefor he keeps his job. All because of all the idiots who keep listening to him.o_O

It's the idiots tuning into his show that is making the region looking like idiots!

I take some pains to explain to people outside New England just how ****ty the Boston media really is. It's not a well known fact, but **** like this will help.

I'm enjoying following the UConn win streak just due to the sheer freak show aspect of it. But it's a total joke.

The only thing Mazz illustrated with that comment, along with the vast majority of his other comments, is that it's his opinions that don't count.

I usually hate every take mazz has. But I have to say I'm sick of them treating that arrogant douche geno as if he's in the same class as Bill.

I don't think I've posted on this forum in 5 years.

You linking to Mazz is why he does this. He is a mouth breathing moron and you giving him clicks vindicates him. He is easily the worst member of the Boston media and that includes Borges and CHB. At least Felger is just an outright troll in the same vein as Skip Bayless. Mazz isn't. He's just stupid. Stop linking to anything he does, please.

Mazz is right on this.

Kind of. He's right in that the streak is overblown in its significance, due to the dominance of that program in its sport. He's not right to make it a black/white toggle switch choice, or to describe it with such dramatic language.

He's successful, though, and this is evidence in that regard.

Who is " them?"
ESPN mostly. Not sure about this current milestone but I remember the most recent one he hit a couple of years ago they compared him to Red, Wooden, Lombardi, bill etc

In 2009 Masserotti wrote that Red Sox fans should root for the Yankees in the World Series to prove some sort of point.

He was dead to me after that. I could never take anything he said seriously again. One step below Tomase IMO. Root for the Yankees my ass.

First I've heard of the streak. But I guess that's what triple digits get you. How is that NOT impressive?

If you say so...

In school Mazz used to talk until someone punched him in the face. "Honing my craft"

In school Mazz used get beat up for his lunch money. "Any attention is good attention"

At home Mazz told his dad that his mother was a whore. "That got a rise out of him"

Mazz is a radio rat. He's good at it. "Clicks pay the bills". And you guys keep on clicking.

Mazz wants you to "punch him in his mouth" but all you have to do to shut him up is stop listening.

Mazz is right on this.

There are so many things wrong with that article I don't know where to begin but it is stupidity and sheer laziness to say that.

For instance, look at recruiting. Auriemma doesn't even get the top classes. Other schools do. So it's a combo of the hard work the players put in, more than anyone because he's the most demanding, and his system.

Auriemma is not like Calipari. He is not getting the best classes year after year. Although, he is getting the best one next year, for the first time in a very long time.
