There has been many reactions from all manner of people, those who envy the patriots, those who hate. Majority of people who were just nonchalant about the Pats have had a swung in emotions and feelings towards or against the Pats.
But what has surprised me the most is the genuine and palpable happiness I witness from Terry Bradshaw for Brady. I have never really known how he felt about Brady but you could see he did not care for Goodell at all and really embraced BB and Brady on the stage after the game.

It must kill Steeler fans, which makes it even better.

I'm surprised how many have bent the knee to Brady since then. I expected people to cook up some sort of reason to denigrate what he's done, or use Defamegate against him, but for the most part, that hasn't happened. Hell, there are a number of people that were happy to see us stick it to Goodell.

How 'bout that? o_O

1. I was with a couple of people rooting for the Falcons that towards the end ended up rooting for the Pats, so it happened before but still;

2. The number of former players and announcers that have come flat out saying Brady and BB are the GOATs;

3. That azzhole Michael Silver writing an article ball washing Brady, finally. I think he felt bad over TB's mom condition. He's still a douchebag.

4. Listening to Troy Aikman say on national TV that Brady is the GOAT.

Maybe it's just because it's the most recent one, but I don't remember seeing/hearing/sensing so much focus on going out and getting the next one.

Here is another, I am surprised that not a lot of people have caught on that BB intentionally took his time to stripe off all logos from his attire at the super bowl. He did not want the NFL getting any game won shirt they can sell.

It's not totally surprising. In the little bit of pre-game coverage I watched, there was a pre-taped interview with Bradshaw and Brady and Bradshaw was pretty much fawning over Brady then saying how much he would be honoured to present the trophy to Brady.

I've been on the Rivals Fans boards, Steelers, Broncos and Colts and I guess I'm surprised the most by the majority of the comments where they are conceding once and for all that Tommy is the GOAT, they are submitting and conceding....Finally...instead of spewing the normal jealous Cheating comments like we've seen in the past...

1. We won after that mess of 3 1/2 quarters of football

2. See number 1

3. There is a group still using the words "arguably" or "top 3" or "one of..." when referring to the GOAT. I guess it shouldn't surprise me considering he has all manner of haters, but it still mildly does.

4. The lack of response from some of yesteryear's legends. Salty or not, I feel remaining reticent only shows a lack of humility and it puts their jealousy on full display.

5. See numbers 1 and 2

Montana and Peyton are the two who have been exposed the most in regards to number (4). I bet Manning will have said something if we had lost about how he mentored Matty Ice.

Agree with the sentiment. What makes it a pleasant surprise is how genuine and warm Bradshaw's admiration seems to be. I can't get enough of his beaming smile in the picture above and on the forum header.

Squealer fans, especially the dregs on the various squealer forums...
Bradshaw's admiration + that pic + TB5 > TB4 = GFY!

Not just people, but look how deep Joe Thomas went today. Damn, I want him to be a Patriots for his last ride.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been (any?) articles mentioning that the Falcons' coaching staff froze during OT and did not call time out to rest their D.

Was a little surprised that there was no YouTube of Ray Lewis celebrating in the empty garage.

Somehow surprised that the world continues to turn, whatever appears to be wrong with it still appears to be wrong, in short, that some new messianic age did not commence b/c we won a football game. A very big one very dramatically super a lot, of course. But still... it's sad.

A football game can be so perfect in its incredibly imperfect way... yet the world is unchanged outside. How can that be.

It's vaguely disconcerting. All things everywhere should stop and reflect the glory of the Patriots.

Crap this is how religions start.

I had not noticed this at all! What's the story behind this?

Have you accepted the Lord Belichick as your savior?

I've been a devout Belichickian for 17 years and plan to for the rest of my years in this vessel.
