So far Thomas has looked very quick for a guy 270+ and how about those chin ups w/ resistance!

Peppers is also an animal

This would be interesting.

I don't believe this for a second.

They could easily trade up form their second round pick to still grab him at the end of the first/start of the second. Or trade down, to pick up some additional players. No way he gets picked in that spot.

Don't know if his name has come up havent read this whole thread yet (I will) but any feedback about Pat Harlows son Sean? I know he was at Oregon St. Good pedigree. His old man was actually pretty good. Not worth #11, but decent.

We literally see this every year.

1) I don't bother mocks bc 99% of the people out have no clue. No one does. Same w/ draft sites. McCaffrey could easily be picked top 15-20.

This process is about evaluating propects and grading them. I honestly don't think there's more than 4-5 out there that do that better than me and the very few I pay attention to.

All these "name" players, risers etc have been talked at nauseum by me n others for years.

Furthermore, specifically evaluating players, most have no clue and just look to a popular site to copy info.

Lance, Miller and the rest of popular guys really have no clue. LOL LZ just put out a eval on Q Wilson saying he has tight hips when Wilson has some of the looser hips in the draft.

So are you going to do a board soon or ranking system?

Can't wait for this guy to "rise" up boards

I actually like Witherspoon better than Awuzie. Good player.

Agreed. Awuzie is probably more versatile whereas Spoon seems like a great fit for press/man but Im breaking my own rule talking about scheme lol.

Things I don't care about

1) Scheme. Talent >Scheme all day

2) Mock Drafts and draft sites. Nothing more useless than those sim's, mocks and breathers repeating themselves.

3) If your eval'n someone give me something Im seeing everywhere else. Be original.

Soon we'll find out or wont, what some thought about LF7. From what I hear players loved him, coaches were ready to drop him off at the combine. Several "moments" that gave them pause throughout the year.

Diff note. Really hope this draft season doesn't turn into who's sleeping w/ who. Michael Sam all over again. Gay people are just as talented as straights. Hope it doesn't become the narrative. Really hope no names get out there.

D. Fields better hope he aces his interviews or hes a guy who could tumble very far.

I understand there is a lot of group-think within the draft community, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are parroting each other.

In the end, there are only so many breakdowns of a player you can make. At some point, it's all going to sound familiar. And many will see things differently, much like we do on here.

As for talent over scheme, isn't it both? The pats have specific player skillsets that they look for, and also have to fit a specific scheme. You are always going to have to expound on a players college tape to see if he will fit, but scheme matters a great deal. Going fully on talent will land you a player who may not be able to do what you need him to do.

This post was a roller coaster. I had no idea where it was going and what would happen next.

I agree with everything you said and I have been saying the same thing about the draft for years, so no argument there.

However, I just don't see McCaffrey going that early because I don't think he is anywhere close to Eliott and RBs in general are just not worth drafting that far up relatively speaking.

If/When he gets drafted, like many guys, it has a lot to do w/ off the field stuff.

Hes an extra coach on the field and youll never worry about him outside the stadium. Gym rat. Great rec w/ soft hands.

Hes not Zeke but hes the ultimate chess piece for a RB that could really put a lot of teams over the top when added w/e team.

Imagine him w/ a Dallas or Arizona paired w/ those Monsters.

Dallas is going after another top tier back this o/s. Draft, FA, their adding another guy to put that offense over the top

We will see how the board shakes out but every team has multiple holes to plug and RB is often a luxury compared to other needs. At least in the first round.
