All Patriots fans wanted the undefeated season for the legacy, but this one adds enough that I actually prefer this win.

An undefeated season is still possible, but this one never gets taken away. And I don't care about undefeated anymore. Though beating The Giants sometime would be nice.

The legacy is safe - a perfect win for Tom Brady - the man who will NEVER give up.

They can win 10 more SBs and will never remove the sting of that night.

Its kinda like the 1986 World Series loss to the Mets. Still an awful memory but as the years roll on and new successes layer on top of existing ones, it becomes easier to deal with.

2007 won't ever be erased but it's now just a footnote.

I'm seeing a lot of talk among even the die hard Patriot hater crowd that last night erased any "tainted! Asterisk!1!1" from Brady's career and they are finally believers.
Legacy sealing win.

Agree.

what TB and our D did yesterday were lights out! Every anti-Pats hater at my office (in downtown Manhattan) came up and congratulated with open admiration on what an unbelievable performance we put out there yesterday.

Someone said I am in cloud 9 but I disagree; I am so friggin far out in the space that i am yet to return to any cloud surrounding the earth.

this purges everything........roughing the passer, tony eason, bill parcells/max lane, helmet catch, welker being too short

the skeleton closet is now empty

This erases most of the sting, I can look now look at the highlights from the 2 Giants super bowls and laugh at them a little bit. They don't hurt nearly as much anymore.

Nah. I will never get over that loss.

Shutting up the 1972 Dolphins would have been the 3rd best part of a win in 2007.

I don't know if it fully erases the Giants loss in 07, because of the whole undefeated thing. But it does erase spygate, deflate gate, and all of that other bs.

the loss is easier to handle w/ each SB win since...but i still dream of an undefeated season w/ BB and Brady

It is completely absurd there was yet another ridiculous flukey completion in a Patriots Super Bowl. (I don't really consider the manningham play flukely but it was heart breaking after what happened the time before) Just glad it was finally on our side

in a weird kind of way, the Pats utter dominance is strangely enhanced by having an UNDEFEATED season where they fell short in the SB if the win 5 or 6 or 7 others and in these comeback fashions. It's like "they won 6" and were undefeated in one of their down years... lol
