Tough to get to a Superbowl even more difficult to win one, but if any QB can do it it is TB12. Gronk comes back next year, Brady still playing at an all time level, and the AFC is pretty weak in general.
Save Gronk for the second half of the year. I know that won't happen, but I hold my breath every time he catches a ball

I think Brady has a good chance to win one after this year regardless of the whether we win next week.

We are on to Houston to play Atlanta in the SB lets not get ahead of ourselves. Can't think 6 before getting 5, that hasn't happened yet.

It is a greedy question I know but interesting.

No QB has ever done five. Six would be amazing but do you think it is likely? If he secures his 5th this year we don't know how many years he has left but probably at least 2 and maybe up to 5? I could easily picture him playing 2 more high level years if no big injury happens.

I am not even going to dream of 7.
Lets just take it one ring at a time.

If they win next sunday, i think he finishes with 6 yes.

This is assuming he has at least 3 good years left. They have alot of fa's this year on d, lots of cap space too. But worst case scenario theyll be in the afcc next 3 years, so id guess he wins 1 more. IF they are able to effectively maintain the same type of team (through retaining they key players or doing well enough in fa to replace them) they have this year for the next 3-4 years, 7 is a real possibility. I mean, we are without gronk and its still hard seeing this team not win it all.

But for a few fluke plays, he'd be playing for his 7th now. But for Bernard Pollard, he may have won even more.

I am dreaming of a few more rings. AFC competition does not look that great currently and I don't see any teams that are obvious "heir apparents" to take over in the next few years. I think we have an excellent shot at few more SB appearances. Of course, we can expect the Commish to do everything he can to torpedo our chances.:mad::mad:

I feel like the team is coming together and will be stronger next year. We won 3 out of 4 years to start this century... I think we can go back-to-back this year and next to repeat that feat.

He'll end up with 6 for sure!

I almost voted no in the poll because I wanted to predict that he would end with 7.

A little overkill but I would love for Brady to win 3 more and have 7 so the Patriots can be the team with the most titles, Steelers don't deserve to have the most our dynasty, our run, BB/TB12, we are the greatest franchise in NFL history imo

We waited ten years between title #3 and #4. I surely hope it won't be more than five years to get from #4 to #6.

I don't know if they will win another superbowl, but I do know that the 2017 edition of of the Pats is very likely to be a more talented team next season. (assuming a few things happen/

1. Hightower, Butler and most of the rest of the FA's are resigned. Remember we will have in excess of $60MM in cap room (3rd highest) So we will be very active in FA

2. The OL, which was very good this year will only improve since the entire interior of the OL is still very young. Plus we could possibly get stronger at C

3. Mitchell and Hogan can improve with another year in the offense. The possibility of Floyd is enticing, but at any rate DA's position is likely to be upgraded (as much as I like DA that's the truth)

4. The depth in this draft and with what JG gets us, we should get 2 quality defensive rushers at 12 and 32. (I hope). Regardless, most of the top of this draft is going to go toward the defense.

5. The Pats will do what they can to keep the DB's intact. Butler is certain to stay either under a RFA first round tender, or a longer term contract. Ryan is more iffy, but I'm hoping, and Harmon is likely to stay, but I think he's eminently replaceable.

6. This was a team that had great chemistry and that was a great factor in its success. At least 15-20% of the 2017 team will be different so you don't know if the chemistry will be as good. But I do know, when we look at the athletes on the field next August, I think most of us will feel that the talent level will be better than this year's team, either by increaded experience of young players or better new players,.

The offense is basically coming back and probably stronger --
Lewis/Blount/White/Gronk should be about the same.
Edelman gets a bit worse.
I expect Floyd and Mitchel to get better.
I don't think we keep Bennet -- would rather spend that money on defense and go with a 2nd/3rd round draft pick TE.

And once again Chris Hogan gets forgotten

If his playoff performance is anything to go on. Probably better :D

AFC is a dumpster fire for the most part for the rest of Brady's career. If he gets number 5 next week, the sky is the limit for Dynasty padding for the remainder of his playing time... (I mean we have made 6 straight AFCCG games, and the AFC is worse now in my opinion.. Denver not as good, noone else scary)

As a fan it is ok to be excited and look/dream ahead. To answer the OP's question, next year's team could be the greatest Patriots team on paper in team history:

Edelman
Hogan
Mitchell
Gronk
Lewis

+ Solder/Cannon/Mason at probowl levels with Brady. That offense will be insanity.

If the Jimmy G trade nets us someone like Reuben Foster, the defense could be #1 in the league. This draft is loaded and we have loaded draft capital.

+ 70 million in cap space with Amendola released. Bring back the necessary guys on defense and they'll be ready to roll.*

*Bonus: Adrian Peterson said he wants to play for a championship. Not many power run schemes left with a FB. If he wants to be Corey Dillon 2.0 the opportunity is there.

The final X-factor is a coaching staff of BB/Patricia/McDaniels. They are starting to look similar to the coaching power of BB/Crennel/Weis.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Brady's career is all said and done, he may have led two separate 3 out of 4 dynasties. But we're on to Atlanta for now. :D

Please for the love of god just get five. Such massive long-term records in winning pct, wins, playoff wins, clutch play, clearly the GOAT, it almost seems fair if he retires with four. He has 50% more playoff wins than Montana and has set a winning pct standard that will. Ever be approached. Just one more and there is nothing left for the haters. Nothing. Just hold up your hand and the whiners will shut up...you may use your middle finger to demonstrate the latest ring.

Please Tom, just one more win. May never get another chance at this again. Think about it, after losing 42, you never thought there would ever be a game where you had a legacy opportunity of a lifetime like that again. Well, it is here. Tom is 39...I know he is playing at peak level, but who knows. Just one more!!! Oh please.
I agree, except I think he easily gets 2 or 3 more chances after this year. I mean he has made 6 AFCCG in a row. As long he plays he will be playing for a "chance" at the SB each year. Get number 5 now and look out. AFC is dumpster fire.

And.. he will be the only player on both 3 out of 4 eras.. fully turned over teams

The real question is "If Brady wins this year and repeats next year, then does he retire?" Imagine starting off your career with 3 wins in 4 years, then finishing it off in the same exact way. There would be no question at all even among his most passionate haters who the GOAT is.

we are??

It's fine to talk about the Dynasty as much as want. This is the least boring thread going right now. (except for the ones on the Steelers board)

I see him winning more than j

I see him going on for a chance at a three peat if they win 51 and 52... back in 2004 he talked to other team mates about trying for that 3 peat.
