Key matchup: Steelers OLB Bud Dupree vs. Patriots QB Tom Brady

Defensive end Stephon Tuitt said it’s not necessarily how many times they sack Brady, but how many times they can hit him and knock him to the ground. The Texans hit Brady eight times, including getting a 15-yard penalty against Clowney for a late hit. Which, Tuitt said, is fine, too.

“They were taking Tom Brady down, they were hitting Tom Brady, even if it was after the play,” Tuitt said. “In a game like that, you want to get to him, you want to make him rattled, you want to make him upset. Sometimes you just got to sacrifice, even if it’s after the play, you got to get this guy like, hey, we’re out here for you, we’re coming after you.”

They should be looking to rattle brady. Its the only way they will have a chance. They have to get brady out of his comfort zone.

So to include hitting him after the whistle? Get out of here with that garbage.

This is what happens when Clowney doesn't get a flag for dragging Brady to the ground.

Tuitt is a talented DT but that was a very stupid comment to make to the public. If they want to hit him after the whistle, I'm fine with it now. I'm sure Brady will be glad to take the free 15 yards and new set of downs.

Stupid to say that before the game. Belichick is going to bring this up to the League so that the refs keep an eye out for any late hits. So even if the Steelers don't try to hit Brady after he gets rid of the ball, the refs could have itchy trigger fingers for anything remotely close to a late hit on Brady.

Even if the officials have an eye on it, they wouldn't have the balls to rightfully toss Tuitt from the game for a blatant and premeditative attempt to hit Brady after the whistle. Automatic 1st down and yards is great and all, but that means nothing if Brady is injured.

Does anyone remember the Bengals vs Steelers playoff game last year?
That stuff' better not happen...

Making the comment public means 0.

If their hitting Brady after the whistle they'll get called. Has 0 to do with comments.

Each team of refs is in communication with teams before every game, taking in concerns. I guarantee this will now be on their radar. Pittsburgh is an idiot for this. You don't freaking SAY it.

The strategy is sound and understood. It will happen on Sunday.

There is nothing positive that comes from making a public service announcement about it.

Now the refs (might not matter I guess) have their radar up and now NE has a little xtra focus and motivation.

Nothing negative will happen either. Again do you really think any ref is up in arms over this?

Brady gets calls 90% of QB's don't get. He'll get all the right calls if that happens
