As I noted in another thread earlier this week, in this string of 6 straight AFC Championship runs the Pats have had a multi TD performance in each Divisional Win leading up to it.

With his three TD performance Dion Lewis kept that streak going. In fact, in 4 of the 6 divisional games a player has scored 3+ TDs.

Here's how it's gone...........

2011 - Gronk 3 TDs
2012 - Vereen 3 TDs
2013 - Blount 4 TDs (Ridley 2)
2014 - Amendola 2 TDs
2015 - Gronk 2 TDs
2016 - Lewis 3 TDs

He also put the ball on the ground twice, the first gifting the Texans a TD. I'm excited by the talent and explosiveness but those fumbles cannot happen. At least for me it slightly diminished the otherwise nice performance he had tonight.

Edelman was really the offensive player of the game though.

Yes, agreed on the fumbles. Definitely puts a damper on his hat trick.

If I recall correctly Keyshawn Johnson had a weird trifecta in the playoffs when he rushed and caught TDs in addition to getting an interception (on a Hail Mary attempt) against the Jags.

He is a special player. Mini gronk. So many times you think he is going to get taxkled and he picks up 5-6 yards because he is so shifty

BUT even last year he seems to have a problem holding onto the ball. Hopefully he cleans that up this week

Lewis is exciting! Unfortunately, suspect ball security is a killer.

I was disappointed that James White didn't get more touches.

I found it encouraging that during the on-field post-game interview instead of answering the question about 3 TD's he immediately spoke about cleaning up his fumbles.
I loved his first TD when he turned on the jets to accelerate by the LB...so much quickness and speed.

Yeah, I was surprised as well. White has been such a solid receiving back. It's interesting he wasn't seeing more snaps

I LOVE Lewis. LOVE him, but even I'll admit that Sweet Feet White is a much better ROUTE runner.

True, but someone who can run between tackles and catch out of the backfield is probably going to keep an opposing defense more on their toes

No doubt! Just saying White is a better route runner that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. That move he put on McKinney was sweet.......feet white :D
