A spokeswoman for United attributes the delay to logistical issues.


“Flight 934 to London had a mechanical issue and we had to replace it with the aircraft used for the Giants charter the night before,” spokeswoman Maddie King said in a statement provided to CBSNewYork. “This aircraft was not scheduled to re-depart from Newark for a few more days, and it took our team some time to prepare the aircraft for its next commercial flight.”

What's amazing to learn here is that, despite billions of dollars in profits, most of the players are forced to ride in the same crappy economy seats that you and I ride in. Three economy seats is still uncomfortable as hell when you weight 300 pounds and are 6'5".

They can't put together a charter flight outfitted with biz class seating all the way back? Wouldn't that pay off in stretched and relaxed muscles and more sleep?

A few years ago I got a complimentary upgrade out of BDL (back when they did that routinely) and watched as a college basketball team paraded on to the back. I went to a guy who looked like a coach and told him to trade my seat with whatever player needed the space the most. They put a kid up there who was 6'8" or so and had a knee brace on. I thought he was going to cry he was so grateful. The flight attendants thought I was a hero and offered me the usual first class amenities even though I was in 32C or whatever.

At first I was surprised to hear this, but then I remembered that this is the same team that had the punter post a video of Jason Pierre-Paul dunking Prince Amukamara into a tub of ice water while a bunch of other players laughed and cheered him on

The Giants made a complete **** show for themselves this season... Employing wife beater kickers, superstar WR destroying and then proposing to kicking nets, walkie-talkie gate, accusing the Steelers of deflating footballs, south beach vacations during the playoffs, punching in walls at Lambeau Field and now destroying air planes. That's just some crazy ****. I know we say this all the time but please indulge me - "if it was the Patriots..."

I didn't realize the players don't eat until they're back on the plane. Thats probably like 7 hours of not eating and for 4 of those hours you're maxxing your body out physically. Damn no wonder Butt-fumble needed the hotdog that one time during a game.

there are normally spreads put out for both teams for players to eat as they like, after losses though you don't normally feel like eating.

The NFL should have a team composed of all the most notorious divas, morons and headcases at every position -- Suh, OBJ, Kaepernick, etc. That would be a hoot. Wrecks Ryan would be the coach.
