This isn't just about defending beliefs. Personally I just enjoy the debate and points brought up as i find this to always be a fun topic. I like the intellectual give and take of it more than anything. So obviously I don't like personal experience and emotional appeals but more logic based arguments. However do whatever you feel like :)

Here are an argument I have and hopefully it is semi-original.

God as commonly thought of (all knowing, all powerful, eternal and with the goal of us in mind) does not logically follow. This is because the universe began to exist and we can estimate the time it began. If god is eternal it would follow the universe would be as well. For god to be eternal means there was an infinite amount of time before the universe was created. This means you must believe an all powerful all knowing god knowing what he would do waited for eternity to act when he could have at any time.

The fact the universe has a start point must mean either

A) God has the same start point (not eternal)
B) God needed A LOT of time to decide what to do (not all knowing)
C) God could not do it till a certain point (not all powerful)
D) God did not create the universe or care about its creation or us. It was an eventual side issue that popped up for the thing he really wanted to do if this is the case (didn't have a focus on creating us or the universe/life)

I know an argument that may be made is "god exist outside of time". Doesn't matter. Eternal is what matters and eternal means a period before and after. If that is the case there was some period before god acted or god is not eternal. It can't be both ways. That mean either God chose to do nothing or could not do something.

Please debate or throw out any ideas you have. Just keep in fun and remember it is all theoretical in the end anyway :p

Probably the strongest case against there being a god is the election of Donald Trumputin.
