Post Game Thread Pats @Broncos - Mile High Win!

Pretty much everything I wanted to happen occurred this weekend other than Ravens squeaking through. Great methodical game today against the Broncos, doing exactly what was needed to win.

You realize broncos are also professional players and incidentally have best pass defense in the game ? Not every team is the same and sometimes you need to give a nod to the other team. If your WRs dont do anything doesnt mean they need to suddenly step up. The other team has something to do with it.

Careful, don't piss off da pimp of cliches...

The problem in the game day thread is that it scares away the positive posters.

This is why I try to represent and pull people in from the ledge.

Bless you for trying, it's a never ending battle for you...

Defense was outstanding. Championship-caliber in my mind, no doubt about that. Not sure how anyone could say the offense played well as a unit. All of our receivers outside of Edelman struggled to get open consistently. That's not a knock on Edelman; Denver's defense did a good job on the rest of them. This was a throwback ground it out type game. They made enough plays to win.

PS: I always get a kick out of it when posters have the nerve to call football players soft and ****ies like they wouldn't get knocked the **** out the moment they stepped on a field.

Great game by almost everyone and that's not something that usually happens.

Cannon deserves all the love he's getting. Guy is not letting his man interfere with the play.

Conversely Malcolm Brown has about 20 pressures in the last 10 weeks. He's literally taking the next step in his game. Hes not thinking about stopping the run. Hes thinking about making a play. Every time he gets underneath his man or knifes through some space he's just going forward and disrupting. Very exciting. Kid has a quiet confidence about him.

Trey Flowers is a binky and does not stop moving. Got a lil stronger and everything starts with his long arms. Even if he doesn't best his man initially he can create space for himself to attack again or twist up the middle.

Butler was awsome. Sanders is a very tough cover. He was with him stride for stride 99% of the time.

Very nice tackling by Ryan.

Some smart, IMPACT plays by DMC. Guys theres a reason QB's dont target him or his side often. He's a very good player that will make a play. He's not a HOF but hes been very good for a long time.

Lewis and White have to utilized more in the passing game. Their each 1-2 tackles away from a huge gain. Lewis looked great today. This def knocked the rust off him. We have a great backfield.

Bennett and Mitchell are this offenses X-factors imo. They just provde something no one else can. I guess Hogan deserves mention but the other two are electric. There's a big difference between targeting and forcing it to a guy. We need to "target" each 6-7+ times a game from here on out.

Edelman might have the same quicks but his toughness is always there. Clutch. Versatile. Dependable. What a find.

Dev played a very nice game as well. Nice catch and push forward. When he gets inside a TE or wr its over.

Great win. We needed this. Beating that defense, in their place means a lot. For the rest of the year they can look back on this game and draw from it.

big guys in the middle just aren't controlling the line at this point, they are getting push into the backfield....you see more plays for a loss and also a more effective pass rush.....QB's can't step up into the pocket and it allows guys like long to come up the middle on line stunts

Love the shirts. Pats Hold Down the East for an 8th straight time.

This one is my favourite of the bunch:

What a strawman... So you are telling me because I am not a professional football player I have no right to compare how soft DT is compared to player like Edelman ? What a bunch of crap..

Oh by the way, DeMarcus Ware played? Outside of that one play I can't remember him doing much at all. Offensive line successfully shut down the two biggest factors that led to the AFCCG loss last season.

McCourty pummeled a huge and fearsome WR. And he did it like a good coach teaches it. Textbook perfect,

That's what "buying in" means. Doing it right. Winning.
That was a great, great hit. Perfect form. If they ever turn DMac loose, we'll see that a lot.

Edelman's one of the toughest players league. Just because someone else isn't as tough doesn't mean he's soft.

Nice play by Ward when he wrestled Edelman to give the Patriots an automatic first down and let them run out the clock. Bravo. What a moron.
Bugs Bunny said it best. What a Maroon!
