Carolina- Last in the NFC South. Was 1-5 before yesterday.

Indy- LOL

Cinci- Pats held Cinci to the same number of points, yards and 3rd down percentage that Denver did

Tampa Bay- Real quality win there

Houston- Pats shut them out, Denver allowed 9 points. Pats allowed less yards and less 3rd downs


So Cinci and Houston are the only common opponents, which Pats defense has played just as well as Denver's against those teams.


***Don't care.I absolutely will not hold that last TD against them because it never should have been at at the 1. Should have been 4th and 12 from the 30, Could also argue that it really was 10 because of that blatant facemask that should have negated the Taylor TD run and made it 4th and 18. But I won't.

Let me ask you a ? How many team's defenses would you put ahead of this defense? It has been bend but don't break. I would love to know how long they have been on the field compare to other defenses. 3rd down has been a problem at times.

Btw, Elandon Roberts 40 yard time is faster than collins (4.6 vs 4.64). So he's equally as fast, if not faster. I guess that is why I've been mistaking Roberts for Collins everytime he blitzed. This is a good sign. Roberts also has a quicker shuttle and benched more.

Mingo is faster than both of them.

Now you're taking the emotion away and thinking it through. Jamie Collins is a beast, but he's a beast who freelances and is out of position on key downs. When a teammate who is arguably your best defensive player basically says phuck you to the coaching staff it's a matter of time before the players are running the team and before you know it the ship is heading down. Basically your done (see the 2009 AD show).

Sounds like you don't like Roberts, but plug any younger linebacker in that slot. You lose the potential for a spectacular play now and then, but you have someone who can be coached up to be in a position to be successful He may not be as flashy, but I've been watching him since he got here and he had potential to be a very good player. And best of all a consistent team player. That goes a long way. Can be the difference between a team on a mission and a team set up to fail in their playoff run.

Was I surprised and a little pissed when I first heard the news? Yes. But I've got to say.... I didn't even know Collins was playing yesterday until the third quarter. Seriously.

When he gave up the only 2 touchdown passes Manning had in the AFCCG. I made excuses for JC. Watch those two touchdowns again. Same exact play. Question: How does a player get beat by a third string tight end with no speed whatsoever twice in the first half on the same play? Answer: He doesn't maintain coaching and puts the team in a position to fail while attempting to make the once every 3 game highlight play. If he makes a play on one of the 2 the Pats are likely 2015 champions.

I'll admit, the move confounds me but I have faith in Belichick and his staff. Roberts is tracking the same as Butler did when he shot out of left field. Impressed in camp, made himself stick on the roster, progressed as the season went, and ultimately, became a super impressive player. Roberts appears to be tracking that way but faster.
