Hats off to the Bills

Is anybody seriously saying we lost this game on Brissett thumb?

If not then the credit to Bills is due. They shut out the same team that shut out Texans last week.
With the same “3rd-string-rookie-etc“ QB.

What is it with you heaping praise on an opponent that wouldn't have been in the same building if we had EITHER Brady or a healthy Garoppolo playing? Are you a closet Bills fan?

jeez...NOW you did it...he's gonna start another 20 threads on this bull....

They don't deserve any credit. Refs cost us 17-21 points

Were you watching the game? I just can't agree with this assessment. The Bills beat us handily on the scoreboard and in the eye test.

I was mad at the penalties on the Pats as well, but I was mad at the Pats players for committing them (not at the refs for calling them).

Today's head ref is over the hill and really pretty bad. The officiating today sucked. Didn't cost the Patriots the game, though.

They outplayed the Patriots from start to finish. That loss is on the entire team. No one played or coached very well with one or two exceptions. It's everyone's fault except Tom Brady.

I agree, but I'll include Martellus Bennett too. I'd say it wasn't his fault either.

Even with a third string QB, I (and I'm sure many others) still fully expected to win.

I don't think there is anything wrong with giving the Bills some credit for having a good game plan and executing a good game plan en route to a victory that not many saw coming. The score was 16-0 but it felt like 40-0. I don't see any harm with giving them credit for being more prepared and up to the challenge than us.

The way I'm looking at it is this was GOODELL'S victory, not a Bills victory. Buffalo won because Brady was suspended and Garoppolo was hurt, I can't give them credit for that. I knew going in the Patriots would have trouble winning this game. With Brady or a healthy Garopplo, the Patriots win this game 28-16.

I wouldn't start a thread, but I thought they had a good offensive game plan, considering their personnel [running qb]. And we played lousy and the refs stunk.

In Defeat: Defiance

In Victory: Magnanimity

..

I'm pretty sure TB12 puts at least 17 on the board but the Bills came to play and the Pats thought they could win by simply showing up. Absolutely nothing to do with the officiating. Congratulations to the Bills and their staff.

can't go hats off, maybe this off instead.

They beat our 3rd and injured Rookie QB !!! It was obvious his thumb was effecting his throws. Lets give them little credit sure but i want to credit our D who were on the field for so long and held the Mighty Bills to 16 points. Jimmy would have carved them for 4 TDs easily. Edelman's pass doesnt get called back,,differant game with a much differant result. Welcome back GOAT and Ninko,,,,,,,now lets get ready for a Great run. We need that number 1 Seed. GO PATS

as a bills fan living in new england... thanks. good luck in Cleveland.

The Patriots clearly came out flat and unprepared for the Bills offense. On offense, the Patriots committed a number of unforced mental mistakes that resulted in penalties and really couldn't get anything done. The Bills came out fired, executed very well, and deserved to win that game.

Congrats to them though. They beat an injured 3rd string QB. Maybe they can put a trophy in their empty trophy case for this game. I would assume the best moments of young Bills fans existence was beating a Patriots team going through the motion at Gillette because they already locked up a 1 seed, and yesterday, beating an injured 3rd string QB at Gillette

Their 4 consecutive super bowl appearances, approaching 20 years ago is still a feat not repeated and even those who beat us in those games have stated going back 4 times to lose is a feat unto itself believing it to be more difficult to do than going back and winning 2. You're vaunted patriots, maybe one of the best foot ball teams of all time.... but the trophy case isn't empty and neither is the hall of fame. the older generation patriots fan base tries to forget those years, but they did exist.

enjoy your tenure at the top, it isn't forever.... ask Manchester United.

Bills played better and deserved to win. There will always be injuries, suspensions, bad calls and bad bounces. Great teams play outside the margin of error. The Patriots did so against the Texans last week but didn't come close against the Bills yesterday. Excuses are for losers. They'll need to play a lot better than yesterday to fulfill their promise.

We're on to Cleveland (both the Patriots and the Red Sox).

Bills can only play who is on the field and vice versa. They got the win. Congrats.

16 points is not going to be enough to beat a Tom Brady led team.

"We're only going to score 17 points?"
