OT: Josh Gordon checking into rehab. Doubt he plays WK 5.

He's made the choice to enter inpatient rehab only days before his suspension is up, which is something that he fought hard for. Seems like odd timing.

More importantly, how did he get through Roger's strict protocol if he's been using this whole time? It would seem strange for someone to have recently picked back up and go straight into rehab, so I'm guessing that he's been dealing with the same demons for awhile. Good luck to him.

Well the timing on this is awfully suspect. I wonder if he failed/missed a test or something, and this was the alternative to getting re-suspended.

Either way, it's the right call. Anyone who struggles this much--and is willing to lose this much--for the sake of booze or any other drug clearly needs help.

Terrelle Pryor looks decent there, though.

Good luck to Gordon and hope he gets the help he is looking for.

Both the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon-Journal believe Josh Gordon has played his last snap for the Browns.

Sign the beast!!!!

(just kidding, hope he gets help)
Yes, the qualities that so many seem to overlook when pining for a WR--brains, character and work ethic...

I think we all share the hope that some of these guys will straighten out once they're here, but that isn't always the case. Ultimately, it comes down to salivating at the thought of a deep threat WR, even though we all know it's not really "needed."

I forgot about his alcohol problem and went straight to weed. If it's the former, it would explain how he managed to overcome Roger's testing obstacles. If it's the latter, well...#Integrity.

He's obviously a loose cannon who is teetering on the edge of never playing football again. Fortunately for us, no high draft picks were given. Unfortunately for CLE, they may never see anything close to what he'd have previously brought them.

It be funny if the Browns cut him and he comes back week 5 to play for the Pats.

Will never happen but be interesting.

The Browns need to move from Cleveland, really, that's a 100 years curse they are facing.

Pryor is pretty much the whole team right now. He's dragging around a farm team.

Maybe somebody here can educate me as to how taking away the livelihood for almost 3 years of a young man with substance abuse issues is preferable to treating the actual problem.

Browns accussed of tanking the season after the Dolphins debacle. Why on earth would they want an elite WR suddenly join the team... RIGHT!

Agreed

The biggest problem with Cleveland is that it is in Cleveland.
