I wonder if the plan is to stick with tight ends as 'big pass catchers' and proceed with what the team has at wide receiver, or bring somebody in after an interview process with hopes that they can learn the Patriots' way of reading the defense and adjusting the route accordingly. Right now Chris Hogan is the Pats' biggest wideout.
Tight Ends:
6-6, 275 -- Martellus Bennett
6-6, 265 -- Rob Gronkowski
6-5, 255 -- AJ Derby
6-3, 240 -- Clay Harbor
Wide Receivers:
6-1, 210 -- Chris Hogan
6-1, 200 -- Malcolm Mitchell
5-10, 200 -- Julian Edelman
5-11, 190 -- Danny Amendola
FWIW, some Free Agent Wide Receivers:

6-2, 217 -- Jarrett Boykin
6-2, 216 -- Geremy Davis
6-0, 202 -- Cecil Shorts

Also some veteran receivers, most that have not been with any team for a while:

6-3, 214 -- Riley Cooper (age 28)
6-2, 222 -- Dwayne Bowe (age 31)
6-2, 211 -- Leonard Hankerson (age 27; was with the Pats for a minute in 2015)
6-2, 200 -- Brian Hartline (age 29)
6-1, 210 -- Justin Blackmon (age 26; still suspended?)
6-1, 208 -- Hakeem Nicks (age 28)
6-1, 185 -- Nate Washington (age 33; second chance once healthy?)
6-0, 211 -- Roddy White (age 34)
6-0, 210 -- Brandon Gibson (age 29; on IR in 2015 with Pats)
5-11, 190 -- Devin Hester (age 33)
