Rookie LT Tyler Johnstone, ex-SD

Sad to see Johnstone on this list. He was a very agile zone blocker in college until he tore the same ACL twice and didn't look like the same athlete afterwards. I had thought he might look better after another year of recovery, but not making it past first cutdowns with OL-challenged San Diego doesn't bode well.

Johnstone fascinated me and I was hoping he'd wind up here. I also am a big BC fan and wouldn't mind adding Andy Gallik to the ps when he's healthy.

Names I found interesting:

Rookie DT Justin Zimmer, ex-Buffalo
Someone i think manx wrote about him as potential UDFA for us. He has almost identical numbers as Khun just that Justin is 2inch shorter and worse vertical jump but higher bench reps, over 40 reps

Rookie LT Tyler Johnstone, ex-SD
Maybe our PS?

DL/OL Kristjan Sokoli, ex-Seattle
One of the highest SPARQ in last year draft. Seattle tried to convert him from DT to C. So i guess he is only good athlethe.

Patriots took a look at David Cobb- formerly of the Tennessee Titans..

Interesting. I like Bishop Sankey better than Cobb, however.

Mr Irrelevent, CB Kalan Reed, was waived by Tennessee.
He's bigger than both JJones & LeBlanc, and has a higher ceiling.

Hmm, I'm definitely intrigued by Reed but IMO his lack of speed and quicknames is as big an issue as J. Jones' lack of size.

It's become clear Bill will sacrifice a little size for being in position and competitiveness. I really like this group we have and it will be hard to keep all, including p/s.

This defense as a whole has serious potential.

Pretty sure he was placed on IR. He was one of my top late round sleepers at OT, so I was watching him with interest.

Johnstone was waived/injured by San Diego. If he cleared waivers, then yes, he'd have been placed on IR.

Geremy Davis WR from the Giants. A big guy for a WR with very sure hands and excellent route runner. Only question for him is speed to get open.

has he been released though? I can't find anything

excellent use of "whom", OP

Daniel Braverman was just released by the Bears. He'll likely get a PS invite over there, but wouldn't he be better off on OUR PS. He fits the bill as an DA and Edelman clone and both those guys are getting up in football years. Why not spend a year or 2 on our PS and find yourself in an offense that perfectly suited for your skills, instead of one that likes their WR's big.

Why can't we have both?

Panthers waived WR Keyarris Garrett

If Bill is looking for a young Big WR, then I would claim him and dump Dropson and waive/sign to PS Devin Lucien.

There's a lot of time for that to happen. BB is patient. And never takes his eye off the prey.
