The PR aspects don't hurt either.
Nope and if we really think Bob is evil this brief was done with Goody and the other owners knowledge and approval.

Not sure I believe that but maybe Felger would

The d-bags in this forum who have slandered Bob Kraft's good name can all eat crow and issue their aplologies now.
Might have meant more if he'd done it earlier.

The final paragraph is pretty damning to Parker and Chin......
The panel majority’s opinion ignored or excused these fatal failings. It
endorsed the outcome of a highly manipulated and fundamentally unfair process
designed and used by the Commissioner to reach and justify a predetermined
outcome in violation of the CBA and this Court’s precedents.
It renders
meaningless the vital protections afforded by a bargained-for right to appeal and to
obtain and present pertinent evidence. Its impacts will be felt far beyond the NFL.
This Court should grant a rehearing and restore the fundamental fairness of
arbitration appeals guaranteed by the CBA and this Court’s cases.
Respectfully submitted,

Damn, that's a good point. I'm sure hope that doesn't happen. The NFLPA needs to tell the NYJFL* to piss off in CBA negotiations. NFLPA makes their reasonable demands, NYJFL* accepts or strike. Play hardball now or head down the same path as before.
I don't think Bob would stoop that low and be completely disingenuous to Brady like that.

I'm not going to get into the too little too late debate as I am genuinely miffed with Bob Kraft however, if he really wants to prove which side he is on, get Goodell fired. There are smarter, more appropriately skilled people who can better act as the owners' public mouthpiece and fall guy.

My hope is this document is public commentary rebuking Goodell's conduct and "integrity".
Has to be a 30 for 30 called "integrity" that's no more perfect title than that.

That'll leave a mark.

Better late than never.

Mike Kensil has been shipped to Mexico, Ted Olsen roasted Goodell on a spit, and thE Patriots joined legal action against the NFL.

It's been A good day, I didn't have to use my AK....

Just a tad stronger rhetoric than "mishandled"

Damning - and accurate. It should scare us all that this court is one step from the highest in the land. Hopefully their fellow members realize this and undo it. The fact that someone can pay for lies, arbitrate it themselves and have a court this high say "yep, looks good to us" should simultaneously scare and embarrass those of us who live in the United States.

That's not really defending Kraft. That just damns him more.
Maybe I didn't make my point clearly. We don't know what kinds of things he's tried behind the scenes. My point though is that he may have thought he would be able to help more making some behind the scenes deal or just trying to politic enough owners to force Goodell to give it up.

Clearly that didn't work so now he found something else more public and pretty harsh for Goodell and owners to do that can help. With hindsight we all wish he did from jump but he didn't know his backdoor stuff would fail so bad.

Obviously I am making some assumptions. But this move seems like more than just PR to me. And I choose to accept this as enough for me to forgive him and to believe this isn't the first thing he's tried to do to help TB.

If you don't I don't blame you as we have no idea up until this what he's done. I prefer to be a forgiving person as life is too short.

This is part of the problem with lifetime appointments. Apathy and laziness.

Goodell will probably take away a couple more picks from the Pats for filing the brief on the pretext that they criticized Goodell, a no-no amongst the 32.

Eat **** and die Goodell.

This is all great and it's better that he did this then that he didn't.

But, it's all yada, yada, yada...

The Court will discount this as the act of an owner who is in trouble with his fan base and who wants to preserve the viability of an Asset (TB) that he owns, who generates millions of dollars for him and who enhances the value of his Franchise by hundreds of millions...in other words, it will be disregarded.

Hopefully, a couple of clerks will even bother to read the footnotes that Stradley and others cite, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Unless Kraft is doing a lot more to poison the well behind the scenes, this is worth just a little more than the paper it is written on when it comes to impact.

Kraft had his chance to make a difference in San Francisco. He made his choice and set his priorities then. Everything else is just another unread footnote...Brady has been on his own since that day.
